I had seen and was comfortable with the hookless, however hadn't realized bars were flares which would not suit me so thanks for pointing that out. They won't change them at source - would have to buy additional set and get LBS to change....hmmmmm

I did some research and the shop seems to be legit. It's already been shipped with DPD. I guess there's not much demand for rim brake frames any more.

I was getting itchy feet to try another frameset for winter. Just bought some Ultegra 8000 levers, FD, RD and brakes on Adverts last night. No 54 cm Cannondales left though - maybe just as well 😁

If you look at the images you can see that the straps are attached to the inner side and thus have limited reach

I have had the 2-bike version of this for about 5 or 6 years now. Would recommend. It's not as slick as some of the towbar rack from the likes of Thule, but it's so much cheaper.
In particular, the tilt is a faff. It works, but it isn't anything like how easy the more expensive racks are to tilt.
It's also fairly bulky to store. The vertical mounts do fold down, but it's still not very flat and it's tricky to stash away. I managed to get some big Parkside wall hooks from Lidl and I keep it on my garage wall, but it only just about fits.
Also, I've brought my 29er on it no problem. Didn't know that it supposedly wouldn't fit! Unless they have changed the width of the tracks or the strap location, but doesn't look like it from the photos. My 29er comes out once in a blue moon, and maybe the tyres have been on the soft side, which might help too.
Shame there isn't a similar 50% off deal for Halfords 2 or 3 bike tow-bar racks. This 4 is maybe too much for many.

The base of the 4 ones folds up so the footprint is compact enough store. I have the Buzzwing version of it several years and it is excellent for the money. Has made 4 trips to France and down as far Spain one year. As you said not quite as slick or light as the thules but they are half the price.

There really wasn't much difference between the 2/3 bike versions and the 4 cost wise. We probably will rarely use it for 4 but nice to have the option. We used to throw the kids bikes in the boot of the car, but we are getting them bigger bikes for Christmas and the boot just isn't an option anymore so kind of forced our hands to do something. We have a two bike clip on one, but we were looking for something that was a bit less of a faff to get on.

Thanks for this! I'm €365 poorer, but way more than €365 excited. This is probably the best mass-produced carbon frame of the golden era of rim brakes. I rode one in 2018 and loved it. I have a damaged CAAD12 frameset I'll swap everything over from - hopefully I can iron out a few shifting issues and a loose front hub too. Thanks again!
