Prima Facie sold out in about four minutes. I know it was the Gaiety but I was surprised with no queue or waiting room.
cmat one dayer in London might interest some
I know Deftones are here in Feb. Would a Kilmainham gig in August be completely unrealistic?
Is that in Crystal Palace ?
Remember they had a great lineup a few years back, Blondie, Iggy Pop and Billy Idol
Couldn't be ruled out just yet, say easy enough for promoter to assess when tickets go on sale for the new shows in UK. If Idles were main support I don't think its much to risk actually.
Personally I could be convinced even though I already seeing them in Berlin.
It's Victoria Park.. it's organised by All Points East.
yeah same park as all points east but reduced capacity.
If another Dublin show happening (which I think is unlikely) it would have been agreed months ago. It wouldn’t be dependent on uk summer show ticket sales.
The only two good acts on that lineup already have gigs scheduled here.
From the country myself and find them annoying as hell tbh. The country schtick wore thin ages ago…my nephew loves them though. I'll never get it myself but whatever floats your boat!
and both begin with DE
The Deftones are tearing the hole out of it.
Victoria park has very bad sound restriction requirements imposed by council. Kills the vibe
Same for a lot of UK gigs. Hyde Park is abysmal. Apparently. Havent been and have no interest.
I won't waffle on again about people going to the UK for gigs when the same bands are playing cool places in mainland Europe……...
Hyde Park used to be decent but became corporate hell. So many VIP, gold circles, diamond area, American Express area, super vip etc. You end up with a terrible crowd and atmosphere.
Wouldn’t go near the place again. Just terrible vibes.

'Farewell to the Farewell Tour'
Hayley Williams confirmed not to be a "Turnstile situation", 2nd dates added on all UK and Ireland venues with just Koln getting a second date elsewhere in Europe.
She said she wants small venues for it, not arenas
She was always adding with those gaps.
yeah 3 days between Glasgow and Dublin always a sign at least one night being added
A bit of a pity at the one location though particularly with the venue choice.
I guess the way the presale is set up you have to choose 3 options in advance anyhow.
stadium miles better than olympia. Sound and views are great in stadium. Olympia atrocious for sound and view for majority of audience
The "bar" is a sh1tshow though, pure school disco vibes.
Not buying that at all never had an issue with Olympia which you suggested anyhow.
For Dublin, Vicar,Button,Helix etc. they all more fitting options too.
Hatebreed sound went for last 2 songs of their set literally the last time I was in stadium.
Staff are useless forgot to hand out standing bracelets to get us in standing area and wasters manning spaces showing ticket would not do.
There was a guy kicking off close by after but ignoring that came easy to them.
Out to the gaa hall for drink ha.
"Stadium".
I don't think I've ever read a comment that I've disagreed more with on here 🤣
The national stadium is an absolute disgrace of a venue.
National Stadium is a relic.
The bar legitimately hasn't changed in at least twenty years and feels like a garden party bar. Rakes of seats are oriented towards where the ring is rendering them useless for a gig. Last time I was there, there were still women queuing for the toilets 30 minutes after the gig ended as the staff were completely incompetent closing toilets. Acoustics are meh, but what can you expect for a boxing venue.
Whilst it's better than the Upper Circle in the Olympia, it's a woeful venue compared to others.
You can get a boiled hot dog though before trekking out to the shed bar.
Stadium a binfire of a venue but much better than the Olympia when the gig is actually on. Can see and hear properly from anywhere. Unlike the Olympia.
