Now sold to a fellow boardsie.
NCT'D until Nov 2026
Didn't hang around long at all.
It didn't, 7 days. Was in great condition to be fair. Great to see that the buyer was so happy with it too.
Did you get your asking after? They are a very reliable car in fairness.
Well done sir. A cracking car 👏
Thanks a lot chief. She's very happy with it 😉
Great stuff, she got a very clean car.
Hello - I’m looking to buy a Nissan Leaf granny charger. Based in Dublin but can arrange collection and payment around the country.
Cheers
There are two types depending the year of the car. One is type one old style, newer leafs are type 2, and most other car brands are also type 2. You need to know which type you need. Put up a photo of cats charging port if unsure.
ah - TIL! Thanks for letting me know. I’m not in the same place as the car but it’s a 2016 model - so the “original” body shape but with the slightly larger 30kw battery. I guess that’s type one?
yeas that’s Type 1. Type 2 was introduced with the 2018 model

Car is 100%. Will do a deal for interested Boardsie. PM to discuss.
Just in case anyone is contemplating selling - looking for a Tesla Model S, 2019 or newer (appreciate this is a limited pool!)
A few on DD at the moment - although mostly 5-8k overpriced. Have been in to see the Dublin ones and there's no budging on prices.
On the dealer side it seems to perhaps be a hangover from overly-generous trade in prices without knowing exactly what they were taking in and how to price it.
Anyone selling an ENV200 evalia, I'm looking to buy. Must be the 7/8 seat passenger one, I already have an EV van. Must have cruise control but I can live with SV spec or higher otherwise.
Re budget I already have a couple of leads in the UK that I could have in 3 months (ahem) for sub 7k all in.
Oh and range not an issue, happy to take a 24kWh with good battery capacity
It’s now 6 months via the NI route. Changed Nov 19th
Time to find another workaround
That's annoying. Presumably changed to offset the recent arrival of cars from the UK via NI on a wing and a prayer?
It’ll just add to the issue of inflated pricing of N.I registered EV’s.
Yep, rather than a dealer simply warehousing a purchase from the mainland (like Car Brothers do), they'll now have to find a way of privately registering the vehicle for the 6 month period?
Or am I picking that up incorrectly?
6 months still just about fine if I buy in the next 2 months. Local NCT VRT place (enniscorthy) advised me it's 3 months still when I asked last week.
I'll be asking this weekend in Dublin and see what they say. One of the lads on the main motors forum mentioned it. First page on the forum. The UK import thread. Just the other night.
I'll be pretty annoyed if they change it tbh. It's not a law at all so they can just alter at will. I have an NCT on the 12th so will be in again myself too.
Let's just say i'm looking at a car registered up north 2.5 months which I was hoping to VRT before Christmas and it looks like that won't be happening until March under the supposed unpublished changes. Luckily, we aren't stuck, but it's a kick in the nads.
I'll let you know what they say at my VRT office this w/end. Maybe not all of them are operating under the same instructions.
