Starting a thread for 2025 gigs as they'll likely start rolling in.
I'll arbitrarily throw in Rob Beckett playing the Olympia on the 26th September 2025 which went on sale today.
Depeche Mode have a release too
A reminder to a certain cohort here that Big Brave are in Whelans tonight, 4/11. If you like it low, slow, loud and heavy with plenty of drone and noise plus female vocals this'll be for you; https://www.whelanslive.com/event/big-brave/
On the other side of the coin you could also head to the Grand Social for some Singaporean grindcore from Wormrot; https://secure.tickets.ie/Listing/EventInformation/46579/wormrot
I know its not Ireland but this Morrissey lad is some joker.
Morrissey has officially called-off his remaining tour dates across South America. The former Smiths frontman just cancelled 2 gigs earlier this week, citing “extreme exhaustion.” Now, he has removed the upcoming shows in Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo, Santiago, Lima, and Bogata from his schedule. Vegans often suffer fatigue and exhaustion in serious circumstances due to a lack of nutrients including iron.
However... Morrissey is just a bollocks.
That's how he rolls these days, alas.
Might be higher on this thread but Fionn Regan in Whelan's the Saturday before Christmas, on TM not Whelan's site for some reason
Original gig in Olympia (Sun 14th) was cancelled.
I hadn't realised that
I'm not sure if he's acoustic or electric these days but I'd prefer to see him acoustic and not on the Saturday before Christmas in Whelan's tbh!
English Teacher doing a bit of djing in the Grand Social after the gig tonight, free entry. Not sure if 55 year olds will be let in but there's only one way to find out...
Just say you were their English teacher if anyone stops ya.. ;)
I had a ticket for the Olympia gig (which TBH I thought seemed a bit ambitious for him) and was kicking myself for missing his Unitarian Church gig last year. I'm not sure about so close to Xmas though.

TWIABP GIVEAWAY
I've never not won when I've replied to one of those 😋
Sadly it means it's sold badly
Definitely worth going on a freebie for anyone around Dublin.
I'll be at Momma. You could also take your pick from Shame, Gwenno and Baxter Dury. A lot on tomorrow night.
Add to that Offspring, Rianne Downey and Cliffords. Not all my cuppa tea but never known one night with so many I'd at least have an interest in
Tomorrow is 12/9/26?!
How long have I been asleep?
Slight issue, their new album is very different to their early stuff, and I prefer the early stuff. Looking at setlists from the recent UK shows, it's not the mix I'd hope for…
They sent another email a couple of minutes later with the correct date!
Would status Orange rain warning for Dublin tomorrow put Last Dinner Party gig in 3arena at risk?
Nah, I've been to gigs in storm warnings before.
Unless ferry crossings were cancelled with equipment potentially but very very unlikely.
some great additions to other voices today
Given that the alert starts at 2pm, very very unlikely.
Lasts until 11am on Saturday but agree can't see it having any impact besides maybe more traffic, luas even more rammed than usual etc
Have to say Simple Plan and Offspring were brilliant last night, Did feel SP stole the show but Offspring were still class
Oh I know, it was more that logistically the acts and gear will likely have arrived by that stage so there's no reason for the gig to not go ahead.
felt the opposite tbh
Kinda disappointed with simple plan but thought the offspring were stellar
Fair, suppose I was there more for SP but felt they just packed in the hits for the hour they were.
Craig David will be heading to Whelan’s on Wednesday, November 19 to perform his new Just Eat track Every Neighbour Got Their Flava for the first time in Ireland.
