Next year.
Building isn't rebuilt yet
So not for a while.
Any date for the Nando's opening?
A londis is almost ready to open beside Esquire cafe/the baggage storage place. Pretty sure the same franchise operator as the one up by supermacs the other side of Eyre Square
The Subway has seating by the window and the ovens/counter were hours from being finished when I passed at coffee time this afternoon, we are having a running bet they will be open by mid next week!
Last I heard, it's a shop and off-licence. Judging by its size, I'm guessing it's probably a supermarket-style store.
Energie Fitness Gym if I'm thinking about the correct side.
Pop up shop in former jewellers premises beside AXA Insurance office in Corrib Shopping Centre now open. Lovely range of irish designed and made gifts:

What's supposed to be going into that unit in BailyPoint?
I'm having deja vu. Subway is coming back to Salthill? They seem to be closing down everywhere you look.
The chipper part of Da Roberta's in Salthill, has signs saying Subway Salthill. They have gutted the interior so I assume as soon as that finished they will open.
The unit closest to Lenaboy Ave in Bailypoint has had glass shop doors put in, I assume they got the PP for it sorted out and working towards the opening atm.
Little Stars Creche group closing December 5th 2025
Newspoint Galway shopping centre closed
There might be some grant involved for 'refurbishing' the building rather than starting anew
I think they could re-construct and just keep the same layout and still be within their current planning. It does seem odd to get rid of so much of it but then keep the perimeter walls. I am guessing the section removed at the front is to put in larger doors. Could tell when it was standing that the roof was f*cked.
Apparently Leonidas Chocolates are re-opening in the same Corbett Court unit they occupied before, next to the escalators.
Papa Rich in Tornog on the Headford Road seems to be closed. Hasn't been open in a few weeks now.
This is how the site looks today. It's not going to be a Nando's any time soon.
It looks like they're trying to re-use some of the existing walls. I'd have though this would be more expensive than knocking and rebuilding from scratch. An un-informed guess is that a total re-build would have needed planning, but a "refurb" doesn't provided the end-use is the same.
mobile café Álainn over the past five years had many locations as they went through four gazebos, three vans and two containers.. found a premises on High Street Galway
Is not opening or closing.
And its probably just existing contractors getting new contracts, funded by the IDA.
wrong thread
Has that food market not been announced several times over the years or is this a significant step forward?
Here's a proper link: https://archive.is/ygdUO

Planning approved for the food market in the old Connacht Tribune building. Should be a great addition assuming this doesn’t go to ABP. I was at the event organised by the Dough Bros last year with lots of different food and vendors which worked a treat.
The old flower shop on Flood Street got a paint job stating it will be a nail salon.
It's Ireland's biggest lingerie section, I understand.
It's been that long since I ventured there. I almost got lost in the lingere section
Unless it's new that happened over a year ago.
Penneys GSC has extended its floor footprint, not sure when that happened
I think I heard Flannells rumoured at one stage too. Seemed to be lots of work going on a few months back but all stopped now.
