Ok So these are leaked pictures of the new Mk 4 Renault Twingo. It will be officially revealed in 2 days time.

I think it looks great. I love it.
Looks like a toy to me. Not to my taste at all.
It’s a Twingo 😀
Beauty was never its strong feature - in fact I’m not sure what exactly was its strong feature - it’s the sort of car that “should” cost 15-17k euro but will likely cost 20-25k
They are cute. The mk1 was a brilliant little design for its time and has aged well. The mk 2 was more ordinary but still a nice little car.
Also aged well.
The Mk 3 was a brilliant little car and deserved to sell better than it did. It had the space of a Clio even though it was smaller than a Clio sland it had an amazing turning cycle because its engine was at the rear so this meant the front wheels could turn a full 45 degrees. It was also a 5 door which made it more practical too unlike the first two generations which were just 3 doors cars.
It to has aged really well.
Careful now. Only a die hard Reno head would hold that opinion.
This new version looks appealing though - sort of like the e-Up! which was a cool niche product from VW.
Has to be cheap though - as in around the Leapmotor and Spring.

Why do you not?
It was a brilliant design then and is still a brilliant design now.
It deserved to do a lot better.
Looks fine as a small low-end car. But what's the extremely conspicuous red thing on the inside?
I think it might be a small storage box. Here is a closer look at it,
Maybe we will find out more from today as today is its official unveiling day.
Not at all.
i wonder how many of those city cars actually need what is considered to be a really small battery now?
the dacia referenced in the article has a 25kWh battery, for a claimed 140 mile range. most people i know with small cars would get several weeks out of that.
we have a 16kw citroen c zero. It's big enough for running around locally (the car and the battery!) Range of about 80km does a surprising amount of local trips but would not be considered by so many, even as a local only car. It's actually the perfect local run around in many ways. Very narrow, so easy to park, charges on granny lead every night, no need for a dedicated charger, and costs buttons to run and maintain. Very little money tied up in a big battery that doesn't get used.
Officially launched 👀
On a little bit of a serious note, this may suit all the little grannies going to mass. But would want to be significantly cheaper than the other small car sour there, R5, Inster etc
In comparison to the Twingo the R5 and Inster are luxury cars. The Twingo needs to be more attractive than the small Leapmotor or the Dacia Spring.
Its called the Leapmotor TO3.
I’ve fond memories of puttering around Spain in a Mk1 Twingo with a sliding roof on a family holiday in the 90s. It certainly influenced my R5 purchase.
I can see these being really popular in European cities, but less so here unless the price is attractive.
Very cool this,

Here in Ibiza to drive it today
Lucky you. Great life. Enjoy.
French YouTubers commenting on no sound deadening and being able to hear everything around them in cities. It is what it is. I think Dacia Evader will be more practical and if that comes with radio built in to instrument cluster and no centre screen but rather a place to snap in mobile phone it will be interesting.
Didn't find any issues with the noise at all
Well I've heard birds singing and whilst driving was able to know the truck behind me was a V8 Scania just from the noise.
Its probably just the lack of engine noise making stuff around you more obvious.
(28 kwh Ioniq here for context).
It is an EV problem or characteristic. I see the EV2 has laminated glass and that is a small budget car.
Absolute rubbish and lies.
Here is the difinitive review on it and believe it this man knows his cars,
Renault are on the up big time. They can do no wrong and this will be not just a very desireble electric car to have but a very desireble car to have.
Its going to be a huge hit so if you already have a 5 and dont need the space but want a change again the Twingo is there and if you want a small well excuted car with style and charather at a great price the Twingo will be there.
It helps to understand French. Why do you defame other posters.

And here is What Car noting noise

I noted that the Skoda Peaq hast a boot capacity of over 1000 litres and could possibly be a car derived commercial vehicle.
I noted Renault are already showing a car derived version of the Twingo.

Would be interesting to see if that is offered in Ireland allowing small businesses to reclaim VAT, go VRT free and only consume 10kwh of electricity per 100km. Servicing costs would be trivial too.
Would be great to see Twingo as a rural postman's van too. The ID Buzz they use at the moment is a bit of overkill.
mango yellow deffo
Yep I agree,
Cool as Fu-ck
According to Matt Prior of autocar the rhd cars will not have folding passenger seat.
Thats a pity alright. It might lose some sales on that.
