Never been to a gig the museum of modern art, has it much capacity?, I'd assume this is going to sell out pretty quick.
I presume it’s same set up as when they hold Forbidden fruit so about 10,000 ? I’m delighted as a Thursday in August , if it’s nice weather , beats a Tuesday in April.

Nah that’s the support across the whole tour, only two of them will be in Dublin (Carl Cox and David Rodigan)
Not my favourite venue for a gig by far. Being in a bowl the sound isn't great if you're close to the front - seems to reverberate off the hill and become very muddy as I learnt on two successive weekends this year. But my God, that lineup - I'd willingly stand further back for that.
If Carl Cox plays an early 90s rave set and Andy C plays a late 90s dnb mega mix, it’ll be one of the great gigs.
Poster is a bit confusing re the support acts. I think Andy C only in the UK gigs but Carl Cox will be in Dublin. I wish the Yousuke lad was in Dublin again but he’s also only for some of the UK gigs , I had tickets for his gig in Dublin recently but had to stay in and mind the kids
have tickets to 3arena so not sure if I’m pushed with this. Woulda have imagined the prodigy’s show work better with darkness, tho the Arcadia bug does sound interesting

Yeah got them fairly handy in the presale this morning, the gig in the Point in April definitely is a factor in tickets being available this morning but I would have taught a Prodigy outdoor gig is a different spectacle to an indoor gig so demand would have been high for this, more fireworks and stuff anyway.
LH will play same set, 75 mins both times. Is Cox playing rave classics? If so a game changer.
Tickets bought. We are getting shafted in Ireland vs other venues eg no Andy C / Yousuke etc on this leg . Another form of paddy tax. No doubt I'll be buzzing after it regardless
not really the shows with Andy c are in venues doubles the size of Dublin. carl cox djing himself would be other side of €50. david Rodigan is a decent warm up
I got tickets this morning also. Hoping for good weather and then even though it’s a Thursday it will be brilliant. Short walk back to/from city centre before and after for couple pints makes it even better. Looking forward to this much more than a Tuesday in April in 3 arena , although I’m sure that will still be fun.

yea Glastonbury looked amazing. have seen them loads of times myself indoors and outdoors but outdoors has usually been with a later start time at festivals. Got tickets to kilmainham anyway, I’m sure it’ll be brilliant

Tickets for the Saturday gig in Milton Keynes are £75 + fees. Similar to what I paid for the Dublin gig. Same money, less acts = paddy tax. And before you say it, I get the inflated insurance costs, transportation costs etc etc. Just like for like, they always grease us up a bit.
it’s not a paddy tax it’s quite simply that Milton Keynes Venue is double the size of Dublin venue. Bigger capacity = bigger budget for support acts and bigger need to high calibre act to shift the tickets. It’s often the case, just compare Hyde park line ups and those artists marlay park line ups.
Fair dues - I see your side of the the coin and it makes sense. Flip the coin and there was an article doing the rounds here why big acts are not coming to ireland due to high insurance costs - Peter Aiken being the source. I'm sure overheads are higher e.g. when shipping the aul technics across the pond vs up the road.
My only point is that I'll be seeing less acts for the same money. At the end of the day, I'm obviously ok with this as I've paid my money & I'm very much looking forward to it.
insurance costs are not a factor for big artists coming to ireland. And ireland as a small country outdoes itself on getting big artists. Only a few don’t come here and that’s mainly due to scheduling, venue availability and artists giving limited days to Europe
