Seems wedding veils and bouquets are now Hamas and "pose an immediate threat".

An Israeli drone strike that hit a wedding in Gaza City wounded three girls, one of them a teenager, reports in Gaza said. The wedding was held in a school building divided by the Yellow Line marking the border between Hamas and IDF-controlled territory. The IDF said it struck militants who were "posing an immediate threat" to Israeli forces in southern Gaza.

The singer explained that she could not, in good conscience, take part in an event that allowed Israel to compete while Palestinians in Gaza continue to suffer under bombardment.

“It’s a huge stage — over 100 million people are watching — but I didn’t feel like I could go on that stage and stand next to those representing Israel. It just didn’t feel right. I’m not sad I declined; I’d make the same choice 100 times over,” Larsson said.

Little by little, day by day… this scourge shall be annihilated

One of the charges against her is Obstruction of Justice ??? Maybe torturing and raping of prisoners is the Israeli way of Justice. What a fcekin' shower of low-life swine.

I have long thought that anything uttered from an Israeli mouth is a lie. They are a rogue state with no honour, no shame and no morals. They should be shunned by everyone.

More morals than the entire Israelis. Fair play to her. Nice to see.

The scale of the lying is as shocking as it is endemic. And it's even more outrageous when they lie, it's caught on video and then they lie even more.

They have zero shame. They are lying their way through a de facto Genocide.

All those who abhor Genocide should shun them. And the utter irony of that statement in itself it shocking…

The Israeli soldiers filmed raping Palestinian captives at the Sde Teiman camp have held a press conference wearing balaclavas alongside their lawyers

Military personnel accused of raping Palestinian captives have held a press conference to protest their innocence.

The fallout from the Sde Teiman scandal has seen the arrests of both Major General Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi, former Military Advocate General, and Colonel Matan Solomosh, the former chief military prosecutor.

Both are accused of obstructing justice around the leak of footage showing Israeli soldiers assaulting Palestinian captives in Sde Teiman in 2024

So, five lads anally rape, beat and torture a Palestinian prisoner. The event is captured on camera.

The video is leaked by an IDF Major General.

Israel's ire is now 100% directed at the leaking of the video.

No comment on anal rape, beatings or torture.

But get this - two IDF soldiers died the other week. Israel rained 150 tons of ordnance on Gaza.

If a single Israeli hostage had been anally raped, I'd say someone would be tapping in the nuclear launch codes right away.

In what other democratic country in the world would five rapists be allowed to hold a press conference and, being the cowards they are, hide behind a mask?

Those lads might as well don a green headband as well - they're no better than Hamas.

I’ve come to the conclusion that that they are worse than Hamas

It's a fair comment. There are indications they have treated Palestinian prisoners far worse than Hamas treated the hostages.

This Video is 30 seconds, we'll worth a watch.

    What absolute BS.

Glad they pushed back as they did, but sorry they didn't laugh him out of the studio.

    What an incredibly prejudiced viewpoint.

Jewish people in European countries (and the US) tend to be middle class, well educated and high achievers - he's talking absolute b*****ks.

Wales is a "strong supporter of Israel" (his words) who also received a 1 million dollar prize from Tel Aviv University in 2015. And seemingly invested in disputing genocide scholars over Israel's genocide apparently.

Who to believe anymore? Believe in your self

This row has been brewing for a long time with long time contributors (20+ yrs) being really pissed off with how it is going pro Israel

I really don't understand this whole thing.

Prison guards horrifically assaulted a Palestinian prisoner, it was caught on tape, the tape was leaked, and Israeli politicians are calling it a "blood libel"?

A libel is a misstatement to make somebody look bad or ruin their reputation. But in this case, there is video evidence - so there is proof, so how could it be a libel? It makes no sense.

And how can these guys protest their innocence if this is on video? Or are they saying the video was staged?

Again I'm left scratching my head at the logic of any defense here.

US proposing the binding security council vote on Gaza.

    https://www.axios.com/2025/11/03/gaza-security-force-board-of-peace-un-resolution

No doubt plenty of banana skins hidden in it and amendments will come from certain council members. The majority will probably vote for it given security councils current constitution, but can be vetoed by a parmement member.

Someone who appears to understand more about it as it stands and the potential long term potential pitfalls. Some good legal brains needed from the sound of it.

"To ally with great powers to defeat your neighbour is a strategic trap; if you win, you become the slave of the greater power; if the allied power is defeated, you remain alone and defenceless against the angry neighbour, and you are destroyed." - Niccolò Machiavelli

Deflect, deflect, deflect. Then deflect the deflection, lie about the deflection and play a deflecting game of whataboutery.

What video? But Hamas....There was a crime? But Hamas....What deflection? But Hamas....

    Rinse and repeat.

The victim in question is subhuman so does not matter. What matters is violating Israel's sick propaganda machine.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth house?

    https://www.telegraph.co.uk/world-news/2025/11/04/foreign-troops-gaza-disarm-hamas-us-plans-enforcement-force/

Foreign Troops to enter Gaza to forcibly disarm Hamas, according to US plans.
I hear Egypt might be partaking.

Let's hope Hamas disarms (as per the agreement), so its people can be free from their authoritarian rule.
There is no hope for Gazans if they stick around.

Who do you think should fight on behalf of the Palestinians?

Should they be a people with zero fighting defenses?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,439 ✭✭✭✭markodaly

Well the PA do have a police force, security forces as such.

Palestine isnt a Nation State, so doesn't have a standing army like the IDF.

I think its safe to assume that Hamas should not be fighting Israel anymore, given the mess they have made of the situation. They have pushed back the Palestinian cause for decades.

Have they though? Given we Know Dief stated in comments that one of the aims of October 7th was to bring the issue of a Palestinian state to the forefront. With this in mind Donnie's friends the Saudis have said there will no normalization of ties with Israel unless Israel commits to a two state solution.

Seems doubtful Arab neighbours will be part of that "army of force", including Egypt. No western nations currently stepping up to offer "troops on the ground" as an "offensive" force.

From October 27th (reported by Haaretz):

Jordan's King Abdullah II told the BBC's Panorama program that Arab countries would join an international police force in Gaza only if its mission were peace-keeping, rather than peace enforcement, explaining that "peace-keeping is that you're sitting there supporting the local police force, the Palestinians, which Jordan and Egypt are willing to train in large numbers." But, Abdullah added, "if we're running around Gaza on patrol with weapons, that's not a situation that any country would like to get involved in."

When asked by the BBC whether he trusts Hamas to disarm, the Jordanian king said that Qatar and Egypt "feel very optimistic that they will abide by that."

Given you have fully supported the IDF in their campaign, what are your thoughts and opinions on their rape and torture of Palestinian prisoners and that the execution of the World Kitchen aid workers was never investigated, as they promised the would?

Are you still of the view that they are "the most moral army in the world"?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,439 ✭✭✭✭markodaly

The news cycle moves thick and fast, and yes, Gaza has been in the news lately, but at what cost? What actual achievements have they made, apart from Gaza been utterly destroyed and the deaths of many civilians. The news will move on in the coming months and what will the Palestinians have then?

The are not nearer a Palestinian state, Hamas are defeated and subject to being disarmed, and the Arab states are rightly pissed off with them. The Arab states only understand one thing: power and money, neither of which Hamas has.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,439 ✭✭✭✭markodaly

It will come to a head. Egypt is willing to take on a strong role here.
Hamas will have 2 options. Either abide by the agreement and disarm, or continue to fight, not only the IDF, but also their Arab neighbours, who will be in Gaza and the Americans/Trump. They will not and cannot win this fight.

If Hamas picks the latter, do you think everyone around the table, the Americans, Israelis, Qatar, Egypt, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, will just go "Ok so, you win, we will let Hamas stay…."

Hamas have yet to realise they have no leverage, few if any friends and no power anymore to dictate terms.

We might be further from a greater Israel though. It looks like that plans to evict the Gazans and settle Gaza have been shelved.

I'd argue they are closer than they were before October 7th, because Saudi Arabia wasn't making normalization of relations as being contingent on a two state solution. So while the news cycle might move on, it will still be the crux of the issue whether Hamas are around or not. Donnie won't get his coveted prize of Saudia Arabia and Israel becoming friends publicly unless this impasse is resolved. So even if Hamas is no more, if the underlying issues aren't dealt with the conflict will continue. Of course this perfectly suits those in Israel who are implacably opposed to a two state solution . Islamists are the perfect bogeyman for them.
