Toyota joining the game too late? I guess it’s hard to answer.
The BZ4X will turn some heads once it hits the road. I suspect it would be well in and above the RAV4 price range.
Same platform, different size battery. Really odd that the chr got the larger battery.
I don't doubt you as I've heard it from others too, just hasn't been my experience.
Are the BZ4X and the CHR+ basically the same then?
He was a pretty relaxed driver to. Said he used to drive like a lunatic but realised it was pointless. Only passing on what he said I've no evidence otherwise. Felt like a nice car to be in n
That's very odd about the range, I'm averaging 16.1kwh per 100km. It was at about 14.5 before I started towing the boat. I was averaging 14.9 with the Tesla, the Tesla cheats too as it doesn't count stationary consumption.
Ended up getting a taxi home last night and it was a bz4.. felt nice and comfortable and smooth on the road. Driver lamented the range is terrible. He's struggling to get 250km out of it this week
I had an error returned on the app when starting the heating remotely yesterday and today but both times the heating did start in the car so didn’t have to go out until time to go. I could see the heating was on from the kitchen luckily enough.Overall far from ideal but better than having to start the car.
You can also set preconditioning with the keyfob.
There is an app, with timed and select pre heat. Also charging timer and location.
But for the first time in 2.5 years app is malfunctioning this week.. just when you'd want it😄.
Maybe sales have caught up with server capacity? I'm sure/ I hope Toyota fix it.
Wheel sits low, like Peugeot. I'm used to it and actually like it now, my wife's car feels like a bus now. Speedo never blocked for me.
Facelift has definitely improved.
seems like the steering wheel and binnacle positioning are a bit of a head scratcher.
I used bz4x for 2 years. It should be serviced every 15,000km or annually. First three services were free. For my next service, it costs me 120 euros. Tyre change at dealer for one tyre or two tyres, I dont remember was 200 euros. I think tyre will last for at max 45,000km.
Am I correct in saying that you have to avail of their annual service/check to keep the 10 year battery warranty? Does it include the motor, and what is the cost of this annual check? Thanks
I think now customers will be faced with two choices- bz or chr+ since they both have similar prices.
Does the bz4x have a preheat function? Our local bz4x owner was out clearing his windscreen the old fashioned way this morning.
I got to drive the updated Toyota bZ yesterday. With more range, power and a 1 million km battery warranty, has this version addressed the shortcomings of its predecessor?
The Toyota website still claims that by 2025 they’ll have 10 full BEV’s in the market in Europe…
https://www.toyota-europe.com/electrification/bev
So take anything they say with a generous pinch of salt…..
With only 52 days remaining in 2025 I still only see the bz4x on their site… (not including the Proace).
sorry - I meant the bZ. Also there's a trade in booster of 2k euros but I think that promotion has just ended.
They seem to be in a transition to calling the 2026 model BZ.
It's a bit confusing because they are showing illustrations of bz4X at the same time.

It's the BZ4X on Toyota's website though?
It's called BZ now on the radio Ad..
Had a quick spin in a 251 bz4x yesterday. Impressed in particular by how comfortable the seating was and the ride quality. The car is too big and expensive for me but I could see how the new b4 with a bigger useable battery and faster charging speed will sell well in 2026.
That's just a concept car.
Looks like its going to be happening with this new upcoming Corolla.
If it's one thing you can be sure of in life it's Toyota not making any dramtic changes to things, and as I get older it's one of the things I love about them!
But there is 66K version available.
Looks like no copper/ orange colour is available.

Cant see anyone paying €81K for that ?
The Suburu version will fill that market I suppose.
You'd presume the importers have done their research however - is there a market here for an AWD version, given the majority are in use as taxis?
also doesn't appear to have the colour coded front wings as seen in some of the promos and yes no AWD is annoying
