How did it turn out?
Mobile app notification that a package delivered today at 3.35pm by an post.
Nobody in our house at the time but I got back at 4pm.
No package to be had. Neighbours don't have it. What are my options?
Could they have marked it delivered today but will actually deliver tomorrow?
Should I head to local post office in morning?

Who is tracking with? If An Post then no harm in checking with them. If amazon then contact them directly.
If An Post were delivering and can't/won't help, contact amazon. You'll get sorted in some manner...
Both An Post and Amazon tracking say delivered yesterday 3.25pm.
On reddit (r/Ireland) I see a few comments saying sometimes An Post mark delivered for "metrics" and deliver the next day so hopefully will get today. I will ask the postman about it as they do come round at the same time daily.
The post office won't have it. It would be your local An Post Delivery Service Unit. That's the depot.
But if they didn't leave a notice in your post box, then they shouldn't give it to you without that.
If no notice, then they must be just going to try again.
I've had An Post parcels show as delivered and then turn up the next day. I contacted their CS first time it occurred and they were able to tell me it was a movement in the depot so, clearly have more detail, if you are concerned get onto them else, hopefully tomorrow.

Things changed here last month with An Post. No local posties any more and parcels dont track through the local post office. Now packages track their last stop at a DSU (Delivery Service Unit) about 60 km away.
Oh well at least I know to wait an extra day in future.

On the link posted select "something else" and then "I need more more help". That will then give you the choice of live chat or request a call back. The call backs are instant.

Hi all. Has anyone managed to trade in an Echo device? I'm looking to get one of the Echo Max devices. Amazon UK says I can trade in my previous devices but when I go through to the end it says I can't use my address in case they need to send a device back to me. They were purchased on Amazon UK.
Amazon Ireland don't offer trade in as far as I can see.

Depends :-( Its happened a few times to my wife. She buys books by craft people and often what happens is that there is a massive demand for the books in the US so that all the published stock is sold in the US and no stock is left for .co.uk.
What item is it? If it's being dispatched from the Irish warehouse then it won't normally be dispatched until early on the day of delivery.

The last time I preordered on Amazon, this appeared, and then said the package was undeliverable on the delivery day.

Anyone getting deliveries late in the evening… I know busy period but after 9pm last night and order out for delivery today and still no sign of it .. They don’t knock here anymore just leave at the door . Didn’t even get a delivery notification last night .. it was just by chance I spotted it last night and probably would have been well gone from door this morning if I hadn’t seen it ..
Just curious…do you have a delivery query with every Amazon order?
The last 2 items I ordered (unrelated items) from the UK site are both getting shipped by An Post.
…the previous phase was that smaller white unmarked vans were used with inaccurate "x stops away" tracking instead of the big grey Amazon vans with accurate tracking.
Did they just phase out handling deliveries directly in Ireland?

Yea, I was expecting a package today. Post arrived with no sign of the delivery. This was around 10am…
Fast forward 1.15pm ... postal van arrived for the second time and this time he had my package with an apology for overlooking the package this morning!

I have been unable to use Amazon.ie for months.
I think its probably because when I ordered some parts for a PC I was building, I cancelled a graphics card purchase after it had gone through when I realised it was inferior to what I wanted. Amazon may have wondered if the person using the card was the owner, but it is.
There is no "contact us" form or number on the website.
The website is quite paranoid. If you make an error, or an unusual payment decision like cancelling a purchase, it can lock your account, pobably assuming its fraud. I'm looking on Facebook to see whether I can contact them there.
They did help me months ago on the website when this happened once it twice before but the website is so labyrinthine for customer care that I dont know if the form is still there or not.
My tendency to change my mind during purchasing decisions might be the problem. But I wanted to make sure this PC would last a long time, and could handle the best games, while keeping within a budget.
