George Kooymans, lead singer of Golden Earring, has passed away at the age of 77. He had suffered from ALS for a number of years. Golden Earring are probably best known for the single Radar Love.

Tom Lehrer (1925-2025) was an American mathematician who recorded a series of darkly satirical songs in the 50s and 60s. These included Poisoning Pigeons in the Park, The Hunting Song and The Masochism Tango. He also recorded a song about the chemical elements in the Periodic Table. How he remembered them all, I'll never know.
