Proof is in the pudding. The Q8 is sold from Vectors so they obviously know their market.
I see other parts of the internet reporting that Tesla has simply removed the RWD SR+ from some European sites and listed the Standard for €39.9k in its place. Which would strike me as a bizarre move if true - a lesser product for the same price.
We’ll find out soon enough I suppose
Any link to a country that has that? Agree that would be bizarre. A thinly veiled price increase. Somehow I doubt it is real though and meant like that, perhaps just a few steps or edits in updating the sites
Nothing to see yet about the Standard Model 3 or Model Y yet on the Irish site
Pub stool forums maybe. The anti tesla/musk/ev function rooms
Can used Tesla’s not be got from Japan, shed loads of ICE’s/PHEV’s coming to Ireland from there at the moment
They’re used prices are pretty high in Japan and you’ve no warranty when you move continents, wouldn’t be worth it. If they can copy finance deals like some of Europe they’ll sell truck loads here don’t think there’s any pressure on them to do that just yet in Ireland, Germany for example, €2100 down payment and €349 a month for a model 3. €3375 down for a model y and €399 per month.
Our down payments are multiple's of that, €11,900 for a model 3 and a whooping €16,050 for a Y.
Over in Lisbon at the moment. Everywhere I turn is a Tesla. Serious amount of EV's around in general. Very impressive adoption rate it seems.
We could see a Model Y under €40k here soon new. The base “standard” model to compete with the base ID4 etc
Enjoy the match
Oh Jesus that's a different story 🤣
Drive thrus, parking garages, temp road works stop signs / traffic lights / emergency vehicles. FSD supervised beta v14. To the people who always say on here that self driving will never happen: do yourself a favour. Try have a look at this with an open mind.
Model Y standard is €11k cheaper than the "normal" RWD in NL. That is some discount!
And €10k cheaper in Germany:
Standard Model 3 not yet available, presumably because those are made in China, not in Berlin like the Model Y
5k different in USA in dollars obviously, 40k v 45k
I imagine the 10/11k must be told do with grants/incentives/thresholds in Holland and Germany is it?
Nope, pretty sure there are no longer tax incentives for private buyers in either country. Looks like a strategic price drop from Tesla. Their biggest one ever
Interesting to see what happens with the 3 so, could make it very inexpensive if similar strategy
It's not quite , if you look the premium is the lr rwd , looks like they have replaced the sr rwd with the cheaper one and it's 5k cheaper than before.
Well spotted. Crazy though that they are leaving a gap of €10-11k between them!
7.2s to 100? That's Jetta territory 😀
Yes seems strange it's like they want a big gap between them, so you want a cheap Tesla get the standard no options on wheels and limited on colours etc , you want premium pony up for a larger battery now !
Slowest Tesla ever made 😂
The original RWD Model Y was 6.8s iirc. And that didn't tell the whole story as the initial acceleration was very slow indeed. Not until you got to about 20km/h did it pick up considerably. It was one of the main reasons I cancelled my order.

Not so crazy…lower spec will attract many new drivers to the Tesla brand, great price point, and those that want more (bells, whistles and range) will be attracted by the LR "premium" version. Arguably if the old STD RWD was also available as a mid way point it would detract from the LR version. Personally my preference would be the existing Mod Y RWD but if no longer available would be tempted by the new Premium. I see logic in their strategy
Their already low pricing hasn't attracted anyone in significant numbers, sales are down globally quarter over quarter.
These already are not expensive in context .
What do you mean by hasnt attracted anyone in significant numbers? Looks like they are selling loads of cars?

Q3 this year higher than Q3 last year aswell, they arent as dominant sure, but there is way more competition now.
Its hard to see this not happening - I made that same point last week.
the main reasons to choose a Tesla have always been the price, software and access to the best supercharger network.
you still get all that, but for less money, and that cheapest Tesla will look identical to the most expensive one, so why bother.
As always, the best Tesla to buy is a new one, which is their strategy.
In the case of the 3 id agree, for the Y you are making a lot more compromises, might be ok for some people (especially taxis etc) but i wouldnt have considered the Y standard personally. Video below is useful to visualise. A lot more cost cutting was done on the Y.
Unorthodox amount of pre regs due to the tax incentives primarily US. Sales down every quarter before and internationally.
They sold something like 16 was it in all of India..... with a billion people and a burgeoning middle class.
still lots of people buying them.
Loving Tron mode, indicators sound a bit wonky but the lock sound and graphics are cool, hadn’t listening to the Nine Inch Nails on my bingo card this morning.
