But now if we can beat armenia at home and Portugal beat Hungary at home this Tuesday, Portugal qualify for WC. So the silver lining of that goal is we could be playing a qualified team at home in November who haven't much to play for. Also our goal difference was not battered tonight

It's never that simplistic. The second half of the Hungary game sapped a lot of energy out of players and you could see some were feeling it in the humidity in Yerevan with the quick turn around.
Possibly should have freshened the team up for that one in hindsight.
