Well never thought id see the day..i know its that rag reporting it but their generally right on these kinda things. I guess thats our multiple nights in Croke Park band sorted for next Summer then✌
Having had the misfortune to miss out this time and I'm genuinely still gutted over it, I would take anything. Preferably Croker, but if I had to I would certainly go to any of the UK gigs.
This
Slane are ya MADFERIT
Best wishes to Bonehead
You'd of never guessed he was ill
https://www.joe.ie/news/oasis-guitarist-paul-bonehead-arthurs-diagnosed-with-cancer-855870
Glad I got to see him given he won’t be in Sydney, hopefully the scheduled break gets him sorted. I wonder if they’ll draft in a replacement to keep the three guitar sound.
Yeah please god he will be okay, that awful disease does not care who you are, or whether you're rich or poor.
All the best Bonehead.
I've listened to the new unplugged tracks. I'd love to hear an interview on the details, but from what I can tell original stems were used with some new one's. Liam's vocal's are straight up the same. And depending on the song it might be original Noel as well as some recent takes, like I think Cast no shadow has new backing vox from him. And the acoustic guitar tracks I'd bet were recorded recently too, I know he was photographed heading to the studio over the summer.
Will they get a replacement or just go with the 2 (Noel and Gem Archer)
This is Boneheads second run of cancer, he was ill in or around the time when he was touring with Liam (solo), it restricted his stage time iirc.
yea think he missed out on the knebworth gigs
They'll have a new guitar player for these shows, sounds like Boneheads known about it for a while
So looking like No Slane show for next summer
I blame the media for all that bollocks spouted after the Dublin gigs
in fairness that was based on the earl saying he would love to have them play and that he had reached out to mcd to ask them
Good, great venue, but horrendous to get to and from, not to mention a severe lack of places to socialise in prior to the gig. Hopefully a couple more gigs in Croker next Summer then.
The reunion has happened.
we got a sharp shooter over here!
I just did both nights in Sydney and the performances were just as good as I’d seen previously. It took a bit longer for the Aussie crowd to get into the swing of things but overall, well worth more travel and expense. Liam was in great form, wearing a cork screw hat and telling a story about a different animal each night to introduce Cigarettes & Alcohol. There was also a cardboard cutout of Bonehead alongside the Pep one.
All of the Melbourne and Sydney shows were really well received with rave reviews so hopefully the country is part of any plans for future tours. Anyway, after four shows that’s me done. Unbelievable experiences that exceeded all expectations.
Only 5 more dates left
I assume the film and concert recording won't be in time for this Christmas
Went to Melbourne day 3 - as previous poster mentioned the band sounded as good as ever. The roof in the venue, Marvel Stadium, was kept closed so sound was really loud. However crowd themselves were fairly limp and only really got going at the end.
Read similar quiet crowd at the other Aussie shows
Having gone to multiple gigs in Australia, I can say that is absolutely par for the course. Awful crowds.
+1 for the dreadful Aussie crowds. Its like they think they are at a cinema.
Saw several massive concerts there a good few years ago, we were the only ones singing along to the band. Never witnessed anything like it.
Yep, I've been to hundreds of shows in Oz and it's all very reserved. Perth, where I live, is dreadful. Metallica the other week was dead and Blink 182 actually called out the crowd in 2024 for just standing there. I was rear standing for Sydney night one of Oasis and front standing for night two, the latter was much more like you'd want a gig to be.
It's just the norm for Ausie crowds. Same as sporting events. It's not a reflection of the show of the enjoyment. Was at Sydney Night 2. Amazing performance and production. They put in the work, fair play.
Interesting read on all the production work that went into the tour. You’ve to click into the magazine for the full thing.

Next years dates to be announced next week I reckon.
2 days in Cork ?
So many of those 'lists' we'll have to wait and see
Imagine if they take 2026 off and tour in 2027 instead
Maybe tonight is it after all
Its not, the venues are booked for next summer.
where?
