Prima Facie sold out in about four minutes. I know it was the Gaiety but I was surprised with no queue or waiting room.
This would be great
Ya but not in ireland so a support slot in slane would make sence in that aspect but there the wrong support for a country crowd
An employee taking time in a clothes shop to assist a customer who wants to return a pair of shoes isn't good for the bottom line either, but they all do it because it's good customer service
That clothes shop will probably have plenty of competition from other clothes shops so customer service can be and is of huge importance and definitely impacts the bottom line.
When you have a monopoly it makes close to no difference. The customer has nowhere else to go and much as you hate the way they operate, if you want to see your favourite band you will probably just hold your nose and buy the tickets.
cause it exempted as considered a leisure activity with a specific date of performance, falling under an exception to the standard 14-day cooling-off period.
I'm really looking forward to these 2026 gigs from "Ticketmaster Ripoff", "EU laws" and "Clothes Shop'
there must be a parallel universe where country music is the most popular type, and sometimes there is a distortion in space-time where an event from that universe ends up in ours and that’s how someone you never heard of is playing Slane.
Yeah, what's story with this? Will there be Front Standing in the general sale?
I don't think so. I realised later that there's only one price listed on the poster. I was buying tickets for someone else, so didn't want to end up with a pair that wasn't needed. They must just be doing first come, first served for the pit.
The parallel universe you talk of is actually just Donegal.
90% of gig announcements here is questionably awful country music. There is a Luke Combs tribute band that could give Nile Rogers a run for his money on how often he has played the county. Slane will be an instant sell out. People will travel.
Thoughts and prayers.
Yeah it's called the Midlands/North West..
There was a BBC documentary about Jiving a few years back, 3,000 people went to a barn in Monaghan to dance to country music, People you've never heard of are gigging 200+ gigs a year, It's a phenomenon.
looks like Richard Ashcroft might have overestimated himself
Lots of tickets still left in presale, they even put the queuing system on it
I think Ticketmaster are a great much of lads.
Wasn't he playing his headline gigs in places like the Olympia in the recent past. The Oasis gigs did give him a shot in the arm, same for Cast id imagine
Feel content with those support sets
Any chance of Production standing tickets for Testament tomorrow? May head down. Or is there resale sites
Same with me last week not sure if it was gone or not as didn't check just got on the chat . I was fully refunded which I was very happy about .
I agree it costs money to pay staff processing this , but the full service charge... ?
And that's why the monopoly legislation needs to be examined .
Touts were banned a long time ago .
Seems to be playing bigger venues off the back of it.
In all honesty, id love another Verve reunion. Everyone knows Urban Hymns inside out but A Northern Soul and A Storm in Heaven are top class albums and much different to UH and any of RAs solo stuff. There was a proper shoe gaze feel to it. I dont think he does anything pre-UH in his solo gigs.
Heres a sample
Also a fan of the album Forth and RAs 1st solo effort Alone with Everybody. A lot of his solo stuff is just bland though.
No standing left
The Verve hate each other. Makes Liam and Noel look like a slight disagreement.
I saw the Verve loads. Recently saw Ashcroft support Pearl Jam and Oasis.
He took the roof off at Oasis and PJ was a bit meh.
Ashcroft exists in the lates 90s/early 00s. Not sure he’s headline without The Verve. It’s a bit like Liam doing the Definitely Maybe Tour. It’s fantastic but we all want the real thing.
Cast have toured regularly here. Usually Button Factory / The Academy level venues. The last time in the Academy was far from full - The Olympia is a stretch. I have tickets for the Olympia but I'm expecting it to be "roomy"
Agree completely.
Even if Ashcroft was doing a chunk of the ANS/ASIT/etc stuff, I might get a ticket, but looking at his setlists for solo gigs even before the Oasis slots, it's the UH singles, maybe one or two others, and a few solo tracks. Barely breaks an hour with the sets most of the time by the looks of it.
Not arsed paying 80 quid to go to the 3Arena to hear Bittersweet Symphony, Lucky Man and The Drugs Don't Work again. Yawn.
Kodaline are breaking up so expecting some final shows for 2026
Austra playing The Workmans Club on March 25th.
Been a long time since she last played here.
Some good band name ideas there, keep 'em coming 🙂
Then 2028 for the reunion shows…do we start a 2028 rumours thread?
Slane is back
Slane rumours too for 2028?
