I’ve no idea what the previous WLPT figures where to check against the figures on display there currently but according to many, they have increased on the ie site which means it’s the newer batteries alright.

I think for all people, even someone who never ever DC chargers would benefit from higher resale value.
Not for most people but yes for people who have no home or work charging, any increase in charging speed is beneficial for sure!

They already did. Not in Ireland but in the rest of the world! The off peak rate in Belgium or the Netherlands is something like 31c/kWh. Which is barely any more than people over there pay at home. And of course there are fast chargers like Ionity, FastNed and indeed Tesla superchargers everywhere, all reliable and with no waiting

In my, perhaps misguided opinion, Tesla has one of best public charging prices in Ireland and it is still one of leaders in terms of EV efficiency. If you consider recent growth in charging location this could be a vehicle that could break into market for people who can only charge in public. Even though I charge mostly at home and work I see two personal advantages. One is more public charging with higher demand and other is better resale value when I sell car.

You're not wrong. Tesla had the fastest charging in the business 5 years ago, but others have since caught up and some recent Chinese cars have well and truly overtaken them
That said, several people in here have already outlined why charging any faster than Tesla did 5 years ago does not really add much value to most people, except those who can't normally charge at home or at work. And for those people, a full EV in Ireland wouldn't really be a great choice of car as no matter how fast it can charge, it costs as much as fossil fuel. That is the biggest pro of an EV gone
I pay about €0.01 per km in fuel almost all of the time. Which is about 90-95% cheaper than fossil fuel. Imagine a liter of petrol or diesel for €0.10 and someone coming to your home to fill your car for you? 😀

It's not no indicators, just a slightly different way of operating the indicators.
I like it personally, but am part of the modern console generation for whom buttons and screens are the standard way of life.

Yea am M3 for me but my wife would be driving the car as well and no indicator gave been an even bigger issue for her.
We'll have the Ioniq 5 paid off around June next year and I'll either be getting a new car to replace my old Ioniq 28 or I'll be taking a day unpaid for 12 months from work. Haven't decided yet what I want to do.
I think charging times have not changed for worse in Tesla, it is just that other makers made so much progress in this area. Indeed 3-5 years ago Tesla was technological leader, it would be nice if they get their engineering together and regained this spot.
So we should expect battery failures for all fast charging EVs now?

You've been told before that Tesla upgrades the hardware of FSD cars for free once it is known that the older hardware isn't good enough. My own car got HW3 for free while still with its previous owner. And last year I got brand new heated cameras all around for free myself.
Musk has already said that if HW3 cars are not good enough for unsupervised FSD, they will be upgraded to HW4 for free…
what order dates get these upgrades for Irish cars?
Is that a whole new battery? EV-database is showing a usable battery increase to 79kw from 75kw in the long range, and from 57 to 60kw in the RWD. I think these will be material improvements if the pricing remains competitive- albeit that front heated camera screams that every HW4 car up to now won’t fully support FSD were it ever to become a reality.

100% lost sales. I wouldn't have considered one without it, indicators work and you shouldn't have to learn a new way just because Tesla wanted to save a few $$
Kudos for trying I say, but they should have offered a retrofit option for those who want both indicator and gear shift stalks. They lost sales by deleting them in the M3H.
Tesla have been, for a decade, very fast in getting 0-50% SOC and tapering off quite quickly.
Even my old SR RWD with the LFP could charge at 170kW and reach 50% in about 12-15 minutes at the right conditions. That's another 150-175km. Not many other cheap EVs that can do that, or better yet, could do so 3-5 years ago!

These new upgrades include:
Model 3
New Front Facing Camera
A new front camera is now available, located in the front fascia. It offers drivers an expanded view of the surroundings on the center screen and is equipped with a fluid washer and integrated heating to prevent fogging and stay clean in all weather conditions.
Higher range on all variants
Upgraded battery packs with higher-density cells deliver more energy. Combined with segment-leading efficiency, this results in even greater real-world range for owners.
Model 3 Rear-Wheel Drive now offers 520km WLTP with 19” wheels (554km est. with standard 18” wheels), up from 513km previously.
Model 3 Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive now offers 750 km WLTP, up from 702 km previously (with standard 18” wheels).
Model 3 Long Range All-Wheel Drive now offers 716 km est. With 18” wheels, up from 678 km est. previously.
Model 3 Performance now offers 580 km WLTP, up from 528 km previously.
Model Y
Higher range on Long Range All-Wheel Drive
Model Y Long Range All-Wheel Drive now offers 629 km WLTP, up from 586 km previously.
Customers can access these upgrades today via Tesla’s online Design Studio, with pricing remaining unchanged.
In fairness that all about protecting battery health.
Tesla battery management system is very aggressive compared to competitors for good reason.
I saw they had a countdown clock on the US site for orders before the subsidies end. It’ll be interesting to see if all the Q3deliveries are to real customers, or if they harvest the subsidy on fleet cars and sell them on to customers throughout Q4.
Either way, Q4 deliveries will be way down, and also way down on Q4 last year.
Just 11,000 S, X and Cybertruck were produced in Q3 (15,000 delivered), so without a doubt the CT is now dead. Did they even produce any in Q3? There’s a LOT of stock apparently.
But then again, we have to remember that Tesla isn’t a car company, so none of the above matters to the SP 🙄
