Sadly - Armorica Restaurant - on Oranmore's Main Street are closing down at the end of September but will continue with The Corner Stone Cafe further up the village. Oranmore also saw Slainte - a nice healthy coffee shop - open recently.
Gather restaurant and deli in Tuam closing as well.
Galway Roast rebranded as Curly Cups.
Looks like Starbucks are opening in Newcastle. Jobs.ie have an ad seeking a store manager.
Sadly for me, Ciarlantini coffee closed on high street, hopefully woodquay still open
Yea, Alainn bowls opening thwre
As noted a page or two back, Woodquay is still open.
In Newcastle? Must be in the Wholly Cow Burgers/Apache Pizza premises.
Camile in Glasan is closed.
Green Chili restaurant has opened where Neo was down the docks
I thought NUIG has a Starbucks on campus? I wonder is the job post for here?
Very strange that Green Chilli seems to have taken over Neo's Google listing and inherited it's reviews. Somehow it has nearly 350 but most of them are 2+ years old from the last restaurant there.
There was a Starbucks on the university campus, it is long closed.
Tiny traders no longer opening in Edward square - citing a change of ownership to the building as the reason it’s no longer going to happen. Disappointing for them but imho those units really need to be rejigged and marketed towards some proper stores the likes of a Mango/Bershka or H&M, a waste of what are probably the only suitable large units available in the centre. That street used to be great when Next, Topshop etc where there it’s such a pity to see it go so downhill. Hopefully new owners can get something decent in there and to stay there
Yea very true... Maybe Toliny traders could go in to treasure chest , looks like nobody has taken the lease on that yet either
Heard Mountain Warehouse was moving into Treasure Chest premises ...
Heard that too, then heard decathlon, then heard Avoca...,. And that was a year ago id say. Nothing hapoened
I think I heard Flannells rumoured at one stage too. Seemed to be lots of work going on a few months back but all stopped now.
Penneys GSC has extended its floor footprint, not sure when that happened
Unless it's new that happened over a year ago.
It's been that long since I ventured there. I almost got lost in the lingere section
It's Ireland's biggest lingerie section, I understand.
The old flower shop on Flood Street got a paint job stating it will be a nail salon.

Planning approved for the food market in the old Connacht Tribune building. Should be a great addition assuming this doesn’t go to ABP. I was at the event organised by the Dough Bros last year with lots of different food and vendors which worked a treat.
Here's a proper link: https://archive.is/ygdUO
Has that food market not been announced several times over the years or is this a significant step forward?
wrong thread
Is not opening or closing.
And its probably just existing contractors getting new contracts, funded by the IDA.
mobile café Álainn over the past five years had many locations as they went through four gazebos, three vans and two containers.. found a premises on High Street Galway
