Starting a thread for 2025 gigs as they'll likely start rolling in.
I'll arbitrarily throw in Rob Beckett playing the Olympia on the 26th September 2025 which went on sale today.
Raging Bob Vylan is sold out, should have gotten my ticket last week
the last dinner party for the 3arena in November is selling absolutely horrifically, wonder if they’ll even go ahead with the show
it was budgeted as a standing show and they added a few blocks of seats for younger age group. Given how quickly previous shows sold out here I’m said they expect them to get to a few thousand by November
It's the only arena show of their tour. As we have seen countless times before, they're putting a theatre-level show on there, since there is no alternative. The capacities for the shows in the UK are much smaller, even compared to a half-house 3Arena.
Edinburgh Corn Exchange 3,000 ; Newcastle City Hall 2,600 ; Manchester Aviva Warehouse max. 5,000 (adjustable) ; Wolverhampton Civic Halls 3,400 ; Bristol Prospect 3,500 ; Brixton Academy, 4,900
Massive jump from the Olympia. Album is out on Oct 17th and gig is Nov 14th so maybe depends on how well received it is, still time to sell out
Mayo
Cala Vento in the Workmans on the 9th of October. Good energetic indie pop band for 25e.
Live Tonight seem a cool promoter, they've got a few Spanish Indie bands over now. I guess the audience is there particularly in Dublin.

No idea what they sound like but i'm sure a few here would be interested.
Edit; just had a listen to a few tunes. If it's not stupid expensive i'll grab a ticket.
Interesting indeed. That's who I'll be listening to on my commute home soon!
Edit: I like! Feels like a Mark Lanegan project, which is obviously a compliment
Only €26.25 through Tickets.ie / Gigantic https://secure.tickets.ie/Listing/EventInformation/46690/drink-the-sea-the-button-factory-14-December-2025
Took the plunge at that, thanks
Out of curiosity I looked at Ticketmaster...
€39.40. Literally one and half times the price 😮
FFS. Got them on TBastard. Got a refund and bought 2 on Tickets.ie. TBastard kept the booking fee though. The cúnts.
Lesson learned
For FFS! Friend got our ticket for this... 78e. Another early Christmas gift to Ticketmaster. C..ts
They can get a refund via TM chat and buy again on Tickets.ie. So all in 60 quid vs 80.
I suppose with who's involved it can't be that much of a surprise. Might try make it to this, Alain was great a few months back
Don't get why promoters use multiple ticket platforms. Why not drop TM and just use the cheap ones?
cause TM has exclusivity deals with venues, has enormous reach/visibility, has a dedicated “professional” back end/customer service team etc.
artists team often require it being on TM as well.
The other ticketing platforms in ireland have never reached a mass level to really justify themselves and never will due to livenation owning TM.
if you wanted to rent vicar st tomorrow for a concert you have to sell exclusivity through TM.
Live Nations insidious grip on music and comedy gigs in the country is the answer.
I really like the one song I've heard from Affection To Rent (If We Fall) but that's all they have out there, so €18 seems a touch much for this...
...I'll see on the day
Annoyingly, checking their website for more songs I found they're playing a free gig tonight but all the tickets are gone. And He The Fool, Delivery Service and Affection To Rent in the Grand Social, I'd have loved that if I'd known earlier. Instead I'll be coaching U7 girls' soccer in the rain 🙈🤣
Dynamic pricing😀.
Its hardly exclusive if other ticket platforms can sell tickets for the same gig in fairness . And for anyone who's had issues their customer service is shocking
Removing outlets in favour of chatting to bots is "professional" alright.
Ticketmaster Ireland support used to be excellent, they had a local office in Dublin with Irish staff.
Sometime during Covid this disappeared and the support was outsourced like Ticketmaster Uk to some overseas staff.
FanIrish will know better but I presume there is no customer support left in Dublin.
venues & shows that mcd/aiken promote/operate in ireland are exclusivity with TM so that covers olympia, vicar st, academy, aviva and croke park stadiums and 80% -90% of 3 arena shows.
So millions of tickets of every year can only be sold through TM cause of exclusivity arrangements.
Singular artists owns tickets dot ie /gigantic and puts up small % on its own platforms for button factory/3 arena/national stadium but for vicar it only uses TM cause Aiken operate it.
D4vd cancelled Olympia show, not surprising considering all that’s going on
Going to the Obama 'gig' next Friday in the 3Arena. Any idea of start time, duration or finishing time??
8pm start time, will probably be over by 10 or 10.15, be sure to give yourself plenty of time to get in and done be surprised if there is few mins of a wait to leave
Thanks for the info Colmufc, appreciate it.
Will Joe Biden be playing support? 😀
It was 2 nights at the Olympia last time but yea still a massive jump. Purely down to Ireland not having the venues, unless they wanted to wait until summer time.
I assume Wet Leg were in a similar boat as far as making a venue decision goes but fortunately as they only did the academy last time out they are playing the Olympia.
