Here’s the once potato farmer Keogh’s that have everyone’s cash, picture is commonly found online
(nothing to Keoghs crisps I don’t think)
James is the one holding our cash 🤷🏼♂️
Just following up on this, I received my full refunds for kindling and logs from rathwood.€200 approx.
can't find it now on a quick look but i think there is a rathwood thread somewhere - maybe in the consumer section?
Agreed, it's hardly a bargain at this stage
I wish the Rathwood conversation was moved to a different thread,
In the section in the online form where it asked for delivery date, I had a problem, as the original delivery date was mid March, but they kept changing it. So I filled in the original March date. I mean, is the "delivery date", the original date it was supposed to be dispatched on, or the latest date that Rathwood had kicked back (which at that time was August, had I not tried to cancel it would probably have been just continuously kicked forward like everyone else who has ordered anything since end of January has experienced).
Next thing I had a mail from Revolut saying they rejected my request for chargeback as too much time had elapsed. I still have nothing for my 133 euro. I did make a complaint to the CCPC and I email Rathwood every week (but get the same "we've escalated your request to Accounts" with nothing ever happening) and CCPC have asked for more information and a run down of my comms with Rathwood. Its been a nightmare to deal with.
Are Flamers wood logs (https://www.flamers.ie) a good alternative to blocks? I see them in Lidl at the moment for €4.99.
Oak from Kennys is brilliant.
Got 5 bags of coal this week, quick delivery and put into my coal bunker while I was out, very impressed with the service and value.
Arrived today while I was out - earlier than they said. Neatly piled in the driveway. Guess what I'll be doing once I've finished work…
We got a 2m crate of Ash from Kenny Fuels. very happy with the service and the wood when it arrived.
We ordered a patio set from RW in January, it arrived eight months later and it's been raining ever since. Was never able to get them on the phone, truly brutal company to deal with.
It's easier to get to talk to someone in EIR than Rathwood, that's saying a lot
Is there a direct CS number for this shower pretending to be a firewood company?
I think they're used more as main source of heat here - i.e. powering boiler for central heating etc. The wood I buy goes in a stove in my living room, where it helps to make the room almost unbearably hot 😀. But the daughters love it when they come in freezing from school/college.
Are wood pellet stoves catching on in Ireland? Here is the US Wood pellet stove sales greatly outnumber wood burning stoves as they're more eco-friendly and a cost-effective heating solution.
I find them handy as I've no way to get a crate into my shed round the back, only have a narrow side passage.
Just this minute had a text from them, delivered tomorrow afternoon!
The bags are very handy I find, let us know what is like when it arrives and delivery times if you dont mind.
Boyles have got some decent discounts on 50 bag orders, plus another 10% off with code 50LOGS. Just got 50 bags of oak for €330.
Seems like Rathwood should nearly be in the thread title to avoid.
Thanks no I didn't as Ive never had to do this before. orders were placed back in April for kindling and June for the logs. BOI have emailed me back to request refund first. Rathwood just replied to my request for a refund saying stock is due 30th September but if I need refund to let them know..I guess based on this thread I take the refund and run!!
Did you contact them to try to get a refund before you applied for the chargeback?
glutton for punishment 😄
5 orders?
I have 5 separate orders with rathwood 4 bags of kindling and one pallet of logs E200 total, I just put in my chargeback with bank of Ireland ill keep you posted,
I burn both of these together all the time, wasn't aware of this. Can anyone else confirm?
You won’t see that…
if I were you I’d be cancelling and getting a refund asap
some have been waiting since February and still no delivery
I replied to one of the many emails I got from Rathwood to have a bit of fun. I asked if they had any fuel in stock for what they were currently advertising. The answer was no stock available. I replied and asked as to when they last had any fuel in stock. The reply said December 2024. I replied and asked as to when they expected stock to arrive. I'm still waiting for a reply to that one.
