Prima Facie sold out in about four minutes. I know it was the Gaiety but I was surprised with no queue or waiting room.
Managed to pick up a President ticket, presale was a disaster based off Reddit. Could easily have gone much bigger
Just got one this moment. Seemed like there were absolutely none available this morning. With this demand they should do a turnstile on it and move it to the toilets in the 3 arena and charge €500 for seating
did think of Turnstile myself lol. Puts that decision to shame
a new band/project needs to build up through venues and doing underplays helps build hype. Playing and selling out small venues is great marketing for a band, creates a buzz etc.
and there is only so many venues in each city so need a trajectory to climb
They usually move Academy shows to the Olympia or National stadium if they sell well.
There were plenty on the presale later in the morning. Must have been a bit of a mix up on the artists side. Probably a small inexperienced team or something like that.
Ticketmaster Ireland dont do themselves any favours having presales at 9am and 10am, sometimes its clear that they are asleep at the wheel.
yeah only managed by Download festival founder and sleep token manager. Very inexperienced people involved.
They will undoubtedly moving through all the venues in Dublin if the hype materialises
I got into the presale at 9:59am, had tickets in the basket, checking out but it crashed, so I went back in for 10:01am but all the tickets were gone, but I saw the President story later which said additional tickets were added so snapped tickets up eventually at 10:59am

A queue all day for an 800 capacity venue, bizarre.
They only turned on queues 40 mins or so after they went on sale so not really sure the point of it either

Re: President - watching clips from their London show last night and you'd wonder why Charlie adds all the autotune and effect to his voice on the studio version. His voice is phenomenal live. Or if there's enhancement going on live, it's far more subtle and suits the song better IMO.
How do you know its "Live" and not pitch corrected.
Alot of acts use autotune live.

When you have tickets already it is a little but annoying for those who don't I'm sure. Would you predict they will change venue or would the hype from small gigs pay off better in the long run?
don’t think they will upgrade the venues on the first tour, they probably already have pencilled in a big autumn 2026 tour in mid sized venues
