Kia PV5 design revealed ahead of world premiere next week of PV5 Passenger and Cargo models, the brand’s first dedicated PBVs.
The pv5 will be starting from under £30k in the UK. It'll be interesting to see how they will be priced here but if they are similarly priced then they'll be significantly less expensive than the buzz.
That wouldn’t be difficult. ID.Buzz was always overpriced by about €15K-€20K considering the miserable spec on it.
Offering the wheelchair accessible option is good.
That's an area not well covered by EVs at the moment.
However from the factory it looks like Kia are aiming for taxi type use for the wheelchair accessible vehicle.
Just based on pictures I've seen of the layout.
However it's still an important step forward in the EV space for a manufacturer to offer a wheelchair accessible option out of the factory door with presumably the full works manufacturer warranties.
Is this eligible for the N1L grant of €7,600?
I think the PV5 is a lot smaller than the buzz too. Its more VW Caddy, Peugeot Partner sized.
The next van KIA release the PV7 will be bigger and maybe VW Buzz sized.
I think you’ll find you’re wrong there. standard Buzz is pretty much exactly the same except I will wager the Kia will have a much larger load space as the Buzz is so badly packaged as a van.
is there a release date for this coming here yet?
Asked a Dublin dealer for info 2 weeks ago and they had no idea.
at launch we were told before end of 2025. It’s not VW Caddy sized.
Any idea why there is no price here? seems strange when they have announced it in the UK.
probably still negotiating with Korea.
just a doubt. It looks like PV5 has only 71 KW battery. Any reson for that when EV9 has 98 KW.
It's also a 400V system, so charges slower than the EV6 or 9
To me that's a deal breaker for what is no doubt a very thirsty EV
My guess is that it's primarily designed as a taxi or delivery van and so doesn't need hundreds of kilometers of motorway range or 220kW charging

Ford Transit Custom is 38k plus vat including grant of 3.8k
Very surprised that Gay Lawton KIA did not make that list. When of the best KIA dealers in the country.
I asked Spirit Ford about this recently and they had no idea when it would be lunched
wouldn’t have a clue about KIA dealers tbh
Just ordered an Etransit Courier, delivery is November. I think the custom is the same.
What's PBV stand for?
Designation for commercial vehicles rather than passenger cars, Platform Beyond Vehicles it stands for.
just looked into this online and it starts at nearly €53k where are you getting €38 from? That’s the entry level diesel price from what I can see.
I priced one at my local dealer
very strange when the configuration starts at 52,800 and once you start adding spec it can go closer to €60k… out of interest how much was the Courier in the end? On the configurator that starts at €34k roughly.. also what dealer was it?
Custom Price before adding anything!
Makes the KIA look very good value!
Those prices include VAT, the KIA is ex Vat.
