Starting a thread for 2025 gigs as they'll likely start rolling in.
I'll arbitrarily throw in Rob Beckett playing the Olympia on the 26th September 2025 which went on sale today.
Dang - have tickets for Gillian Welch & David Rawlings the same evening.
Same. Think I'll stick with Welch and Rawlings gig.
I've heard nothing but wonderful stuff about their shows. Never seen them but like her material. Should I be heading to Vicar St for this?
Currently both nights are sold out.
Never not been able to get my hands on tickets, more a case of how much effort should I make. Two pals have raved about their gigs for a decade or more. I'm guessing that you think the same.
Damn, just assumed it wouldn't and I'd pick up a ticket closer to the time when I know if I'll be around.
Still a good chance of getting resale anyway I'd say when tickets bought 7 months in advance.
Also Playing Live At Saint Lukes, Cork, Friday October 17th,
odd venue choice, as its all fixed church pew seating in there:

Wonder will The Orb do a Dublin night

They finally turned on transfer for Billie Eilish tickets in case anyone else was waiting.
Looks like Biffy Clyro is set to announce a gig at the 3Arena, 3+ have this up on their website, they also sent out texts to 3 customers today about the 3+ codes
A lot more than 2000 there tonight. Great gig
3,400 attendance, apparently.
So just over a quarter full. I'm sure they were never planning on having anywhere near a full house given how they set the prices but thats a bit pathetic.
Would've liked to have seen them but not for €100+
For its configuration it looked pretty full. I was expecting to walk into an empty arena.
Not much space in the standing area and reduced seating was probably 90% full, a couple empty patches in the restricted view seats.
Zero screens which I don't think I've ever seen in the 3Arena.
Having ground floor standing brought a great energy to the night, which the band responded to. I don't think it would have worked as well with the seats in. The crowd on the floor were fantastic.
Agreed. I preferred the smaller configured set-up. Great atmosphere and the band really looked to be enjoying themselves. Great gig
If they can make a profit in 3Arena with only 3400 in attendance, the musicians that attract a near full house of 13k people must be doing exceptionally well. It would be nearly the same costs involved - the venue, security, bar staff, hauling equipment to Ireland.
Smashing Pumpkins had no screens last year
hundreds of thousands were lost on that show last night. Doesn’t effect mcd/live nation. They can take the odd 3 arena dud.
But with that configuration it was pretty full, if they lost hundreds of thousands how was it ever gonna make profit?
They might have given away loads of tickets, MCD often do that for poor selling shows.
In the UK they run offers and reduce the price but MCD seem to prefer to give tickets away.
Was offered tickets last week for it so they were deffo throwing a few about to fill it out.
Absolutely heartbreaking news, what an absolute legend and icon, was actually worth every penny to be there at his final show and looking back it's great he got his final bow out and raised 140m for charity, one of a kind
Oops. Wrong thread.
Gurriers again tore the roof off the Roisin, the guitar interplay getting better year by year. Amazed they're still playing such a small venue so those in Limerick should grab the chance to see them in Dolans tomorrow. They'll not be playing either of those venues again for a while. Those heading to ATN are in for a treat also.
I've never seen them yet, bizarrely. My Thursday night at Green Man has Heartworms, WH Lung, Adwaith, Gurriers and Kneecap one after the other in the big tent. I'm REALLY looking forward to it.
That's a great run. Have a blast in the Beacons.
Made a last minute decision to head and see Midnight Generation last night at the Academy only gave them a listen a few hours beforehand, very, very impressive and only 28 quid.
Hopefully they turn up on these shores again at some point in the future. (Would be a great addition to any festival too).
R.I.P.
