Finally
Smyths have Switch 2 regularly. Just keep an eye on their web site everyday. And I'd imagine there will be a big drop of them with the new Donkey Kong game.
You can purchase using nintento gift cards from CD Keys or Eneba. Its all in the FAQ
what's the best other store to buy from ? Combination cheaper price / game availability . Not willing to set up more than one other store . Two email addresses enough to be having !
It all depends on the games you want.
I would suggest if its too much hassle, you might be better off buying and selling back physical games with CEX. You can get reasonable value when you do trade-ins.
Theyre in stock on the nintendo store again, regular and mario kart world bundle both in stock.

So, I went for these in the end - https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0DW8WQ8L2?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title
Someone in here recommended them (thanks for that), they arrive tomorrow. I'm hoping it will cover the minor scratches I spotted a week or so ago! 🤞
Next up I need to buy a decent case to protect it when out and about. What are people's recommendations?
Cheers,
M
I got this tomtoc case, I find it very good. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0DT47V9K7?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Remember ignore the western version of 3 and install the fan translation of the japanese version of 3 which has twice the content and a storyline.
Nintendo is getting rid of the voucher system from 30 January next year. Switch 1 games will still be added but looks like it's full price or bust on switch 2 software
Thanks @Andrew76. Amazon are soooooo annoying…..the can't seem to deliver the screen protectors!? When I call them they can't get the delivery person to call me!! I'm at home today as I was yesterday….what a shower!!
Bravely Default Switch 2 is €27.66 on Amazon.ie right now
Also reduced to €29.99 in Smyths stores
Why did I pay €40 on launch day
The Nintendo Reality Distortion Field.
It's a 3rd party game, so they usually drop in price, even on Nintendo consoles. Although some don't and become ridiculously "rare" and expensive.
Amazon came though and delivered the screen protectors! :-) Now to put it on without any air bubbles, dust, grit etc.!
Godspeed
Don't know if anyone else got the THPS3+4 Special Edition. It's a Switch 1 cart, no Switch 2 upgrade for it, I've to buy the game again if I wanna play it on Switch 2. That's scummy. :(
Got mine today! Really nice protective case, +1 from me! ;-)
Scummy alright. Maybe try and return it or trade at CEX while it's a new game.
I did, first playthrough though last Zelda game I played was Ocarina of time, it runs very very well.
I love the pro controller more than my dualsense edge, the switch 2 pro controller is perfect in my opinion, battery life, feel, buttons and triggers. All great
Might be worth bearing this in mind with the Swtich 2 Pro Controller
I put 85hrs into Zelda BOTW, 35hrs in MKW and currently 20hrs in Mario Odyssey in the few weeks I've had the switch 2 pro controller, no such issue.
Seems like an issue with the person, not because the controller
He really does have tiny girl hands as he mentioned. My thumb is waay over the Y button
I'm guessing it actually was a different joystick he was using which gave him a repetitive strain injury.
I got pains in my hands from XBox Series X controller. No such issues with other controllers ever. Just that Xbox one. So it can happen. And it wasn't like I was using it that much - it was Xbox after all 🤣.
For sure. There's a lot of factors at play that wouldn't affect you. He's probably put in double or even triple the gametime you have coupled with the tiny girly hands issue that he mentions.
I'm not saying the controller is a bad one but it is just worth noting that he didn't have the same issue with the original switch pro controller.
Drag x Drive Global Jam on 9th and 10th of August. I can see that being enough for most people and not want to play anymore.
I will try and give this a go, it was a similar event that convinced me to buy Splatoon 2 this might be the same?
I have piano/guitar fingers so it's hard playing in handheld mode with the joycons. I didn't know you could get hand injuries from gaming. I though the odd spasm was just random thing everyone had.
Got a late birthday present Cyberpunk on Saturday but have been binging raids on Pokemon Scarlet all weekend is it worthwhile playing in handheld mode or should I just trade it in for Donkey Kong
If you haven't played cyberpunk before then absolutely keep it. It's a great game and wonderful handheld
Steep learning curve initially but stick with it.
