Starting a thread for 2025 gigs as they'll likely start rolling in.
I'll arbitrarily throw in Rob Beckett playing the Olympia on the 26th September 2025 which went on sale today.
Saw Coheed in Belfast myself and thought they were excellent. A lot of the the new album played plus a few hits. Great sing alongs to Everything Evil and In Keeping Secrets. Won't hesitate to go see them again.
Just an idea but maybe in Overseas Festivals in efestivals maybe start an Irish thread there too.
I'm all for discord. Sign me up.
Crazy bit of business.
Good news for any Dylan fans out there. Hearing that a UK & Ireland tour is to be announced tomorrow, on this island in late November.
2 dates at Belfast Waterfront, 2 at Killarney INEC and 1 at the 3Arena. It's been said many times before but surely his touring days are coming to an end. Possibly a last chance to pay tribute.
The crazy old goat!
Saw him in Paris late last year. Couple of bits of the show were amazing. New stuff sounded great and Every Grain of Sand was beautiful.
Recent setlists wildly different (and better) too.

How we going to get this kinda Intel going forward if boards.ie bites the dust???
Personally I'm really gonna miss posting about a new favorite band how I'm hoping they might play Ireland on their next tour. Only for Fanirish to respond with a devastatingly detailed breakdown of why that will never happen and thus, ruining my day 😂
By waiting 16 hours or so when it's official. 😁
Bob Dylan shows announced by Aiken
Inec Killarney, thats a big coup.
Might go to that although it will prob be expensive and he will mangle every song.😁
What were prices like last time for Dylan in Dublin?
80-140
ish
Ah where's the fun in that???
And then 20 minutes later they announce an Irish show.
Poster with dates etc
Is he worth seeing these days, he's always someone I've just not gotten around to seeing when he plays here, heard mixed things on people who have gone to see him
Gimme Bob Vylan anyday..
His best days, like those of Van, are long gone. More a case of playing tribute than seeing an act that still delivers. I'll probably go to one of the shows as I've not seen him in 15/16 years and may not get another chance. However it ain't like seeing Neil Young who I caught recently, and is still exhilarating.
I'm torn.
He's playing in Killarney in November.
It's just in the road, I'll never get as convinced a location to see him.
But is it even worth it?
good reports from last Dublin show
That setlist is a load of ****. Think of all the great dylan songs and you pay eighty quid to hear gotta serve somebody and ill make it all up to you
Doesn't matter what the set list is, you won't recognise any of the songs anyway
I'm afraid this is spot on. Saw him in Kilkenny with Neil Young a good few years ago. Just checked there it was 2019.
He played most of the "hits" that day. It's weird because it is only when he is on the final verse that you realise that you are listening to "Like a Rolling Stone" or "Blowin in the Wind"!! A bit surreal to be honest.
He has reinterpreted and reorchestrated most of his songs so they sound nothing like the originals. It's Bob Dylan and he is 84 so he can do what he wants but it all comes across a bit flat to me.
Actually saw him at Fleadh Mor festival in Tramore, Waterford in 1993. I remember I wasn't impressed, I felt he was phoning it in and all his hits reduced to one and a half minute melodies. Aaah he was OK his voice was a bit better then. I liked some of the stuff he released post pandemic, I remember John Creedon featuring tracks and was impressed, he seems to have improved his style like Cohen did when he matured more.
I'm a big Dylan fan.
I saw him in Slane 1984 - really good.
I saw him in the Point 2014 - brutal. He spoke songs. You wouldn't know what song he was singing.
2025 - I won't be going. I don't wanna taint the good memories.
I've seen him be very good (Modern Times tour, Brixton) where he covered The Clash but it's usually a pretty moderate show. I think the only ones who got great shows were those who saw him before 1978/79. Nonetheless I'll be seeing him this time as a Dylan-obsessive pal is coming over from Cornwall so we might be doing a Bob road-trip.
Wow I thought this was a mistake, INEC but it is true, I wonder how much, over 100 euros?
seen Dylan a few times, and were mixed quality, but last was when i went for Neil Young in Kilkenny 2019, he was actually quite good i have to say, band were tight, and Neil came on for 1 one track, and was just smiling onstage, as its a rare enough thing, to sing with him onstage.
While i won’t be going to see him this year, for big fans fans, the INEC is a great opportunity to see him in a relatively small venue.
TAFKA Me first, shame it's poxy opium but pre Christmas drunken sing along sorted.
