Hi all.
Flying from Dublin airport in a couple of weeks. Terminal 2.
Are these the only options for parking for T2. Just want to make sure before i book.
They're the two long term ones, which will require a bus. There is a short term option in T2 as well which is much more expensive but just walk across to the terminal.
Then there are options like the quickpark and the hotels which also require a bus
If you don't specify the Terminal you should get all the options available, like this … (ignore the prices here!)
The formerly Quickpark car park opens on March 10th. It is called Park2Travel now …

The Clayton Hotel offers parking here …

There is a thread going in Bargain Alerts about Quick Park. Keep in mind if you choose them, their buses have a 30 minute frequency.
Off topic, but evidence of how parking prices have skyrocketed over the past few years.
Have just found a PDF on my computer of parking I paid for from Feb 13th to Feb 20th, 2020. Price then for Express Red Long Term was €39.20 for the eight days.
Have just entered the same dates for this year in the online booking system - the price now would be €102.
Thought the price might be so high because the entry date is so close, so I sought a price from June 13th to June 20th this year instead - it jumped to €115.
Seriously at the stage where you have to factor the price of parking into the overall cost of a holiday, instead of it just being a relatively minor expense along the way…
Park2Travel have generated small drops at the DAA
You say ignore the prices. How so? I am getting quoted €77 for 2 hours???
What he meant, ignore the prices, that "HE" posted here. It was more for information purposes, different times and lengths quoted than op needed.
How do you get €77 for 2 hours? This discussion is for long term parking. If you need it just for 2 hours, just use a short term parking at the airport, no booking required
The quote was for 2 hours in the short term car park. Can that be right?
I never in my life had a booking for 2 hour parking. You just go and park. Unless they're quoting for some super duper carwash included luxury parking
I was advised to book parking in Dublin. Even the short term. No need to you think? Any idea what the hourly rate is? I am just picking some relatives up. Unfortunately they are not on the same flight so will need at least 2 hours.
10am to 12pm tomorrow July 2nd. I'm very confused as to where you are getting your quotes
Those prices were from January and I can't remember how many days it was for. It was just to show the OP the options available
I think it was €3 for the first hour or half hour and then €4.5 for additional.
Unless things changed recently, i wouldn't bother with booking.
Here, found it
I would have said no need, but from my sample search there in previous posts, some of the short term options are booked out, so may be worth it. It could be tricky for you if there are any flight delays though
Its the short term I need. And as you can see, they are sold out for tomorrow. So booking definitely recommended?
They are sold out for "long term parking" in a short term garage. I think there's only an allocated amount of spaces designed for long term, otherwise its a bad business. Charging 30-50 per day on long-term when you can charge 100+ for the same spot in short term. It's quite common to spend 1h05mins in a carpark and paying for 2 hours €7.50.
You don't need to pre book the short term. There is always spaces available for people arriving at any time. I've used it 100's of times to collect friends and family over the years.
Short term booked out doesn’t mean that short term is full, just means that they won’t take any more bookings. They couldn’t operate on the basis of allowing all spaces to be prebooked.
Can you still park down the road and pick up someone from the departures area?
Technically it was never allowed. You can also try collecting from the bus parking, but again, it's not really allowed, but some people still do that.
They may move you on but the best bet is to stop around at the Circle K/Mickey Ds and then when the person arrives swing around (2 min drive) and get them.
