There's a Powers John Lane 12 yr old, 12 year Bushmills, Redbreast 12 yr and a 10 yr old glenmorangie.
Redbreast 15 year old cask strength on sale online today. €130 was too tempting to resist.
Where is it on sale? I had a look on https://midletondistillerycollection.com/ but could only see the regular bottling

Got my order in there around 16:00. Thanks for reminding about it!
Also, Tullamore DEW 12 year old is superb.
Thanks! Sold out unfortunately 😥 - maybe the reason it wasn't showing up for me
Hadn't expected the Redbreast 15 CS to sell out so quick. It's not a limited one, like the original 10 re-release. Is it?
Topped up my black barrel, crested and caskmates in Dunnes during the week - all on offer.
I think I read that it was limited to 1500 bottles but I can't find where I read it.
Ah balls. I hadn't been paying proper attention. I'll have to put the feelers out.
SuperValu, in case anyone's interested...
This is a really disappointing liquid for me. Have tried it multiple times now.
I'm a big Dingle fan anyway, but if you do a side by side tasting with this and the Dingle Single Malt, (a competing core release for the price bracket) it's an absolute no brainier. Did a blind test with 3 friends of mine and Dingle won hands down.
Also attended a society tasting of fercullen recently. 5 of the 6 went down like a lead balloon with the 10/12 people I was talking to on the night.
It's too new-spirit, too spicy. Not enjoyable for someone who loves a port/sherry cask finish.
The RB15 CS release was 3000 bottles apparently.
You hit on a very relevant point in mentioning the Ferncullen is "not enjoyable for someone who loves a port/sherry cask finish"…
…Yes, they'd be disappointed, as it's just an ex Bourbon barrel finish, whereas your preferred option - the Dingle - is a 61% / 39% split between ex PX and ex Bourbon.
At the moment, personally I'm leaning away from sherry bombs and PX finishes, so it's quite subjective really.
I really like the simplicity of the Ferncullen, and I don't find it that new-makey at all. Young, fresh - absolutely. It's a fine line.
My Redbreast 15 just arrived. It's staring at me begging me to open it...
Party at yours, you say? 😉
Lucky it's Friday so!
Expecting mine to arrive on Monday. I'll have to find something else for my Father's Day treat over the weekend. 😁
Might grab a Black Barrel while that's on offer in Tesco.
I think I'll have to pick up one of those Three Swallows for 25 euro, personally…
Stocked up on a range of cheap airport bottles in Spain there. Some absolutely nuts pricing choices - they wanted €79 for Talisker 10 which you can regularly get for €45 here; but I got a litre of J&B, a litre of Chivas and 700ml of Nikka Days for €75 all told.
Great price for them!
Then listen to it! Open it, have a taste and put it away. It's not going to spoil once open.
It'll get its chance to sing later. I'm all set up to taste 5 or 6 Redbreasts side by side. I'll report back.
The 15 CS didn't disappoint. Quite a dark colour and initially quite sweet on the nose, almost caramel. Great mouthfeel and real depth to the finish. Very glad I splashed out.
You weren't wrong. The cask strength Redbreast 15 is stunning.
Bit of good news was given the ok to start having a few whiskeys again.
Going on holiday to turkey Friday week.. What airport whiskeys are great value at the moment?
Looking at the killowen rum and raisin and the peated version aswell…
Misserd rb 15 cask strength ffs im raging
Anyone doing a bottle share?
