I don't think they need to do anything. Course is drying and Spaun's putting was ridiculous today.
The evening golfers today might have it a lot tougher than the morning starters.
Spaun had his four birdies in his first 8 holes while the ball was sticking on the green.

Just turned on the golf now. I was following the scores, Rory was on -1, last I heard, Shane was +5. Now Shane is +8, playing the 300 yard par 3 8th. Rory is +2, a stat before his tee shot said he's bogeyed 3 of the last 4 holes. And he's gone into the rough stuff on 8, so he will do well to make par.
And he's still in the rough after his 2nd shot. It's horrible rough, he would have been better off missing left in the bunker.
It warms my heart to see these lads hit the ball 5 yards in the rough.

Yes - I hate LIV and the LIV players - but when they were gone you are there , ok who am I against here , but game lacks the big characters now.
Even Bryson - he was doing everyone's head in , in pro golf - but jaysus you'd miss him , some energy around him in the majors.
In fairness the course is actually playable - there is room in the right area - looks like it will be a classic major.

Seems the wind they were expecting this afternoon never materialized so a good chance to post some under par scores. I think I heard mentioned the later guys today who are out earlier tomorrow are looking like getting the better conditions again tomorrow too

Great albatross by Patrick Reed. Laura Davis on Sky sports golf calling it a double eagle. I don’t know why the term double eagle annoys me but it does. Eagle is 2 under on a hole, would double that not be 4 under.
