These are my white seats in a 2020 M3P, taken in 2024 when I was selling it.
So they were 4 years old, 3 kids under 13 but i did clean them regularly and didn’t treat them like a slob. Car had about 44k on it.
what cleaner did you use Gumbo?
Wow they are like snow 🤣. Did you stick with white in the next car?
P&S Interior Cleaner.
About once a month, sprayed on and agitated with a detailing brush. Then wiped off with a microfibre towel.
I didn't, but not by choice. Just by chance as to what was for sale at the time. I would have taken a white interior no problem, but i do feel like it goes better with the darker cars. I like that contrast.
Completely agree. White interior with MSM/Stealth grey is a lovely combo.
How much is the white interior?
€1200.
My thinking is to save the 5k from the LR and get the RWD Stealth grey. Use the money saved to add the tow bar and white interior .
Yeah that'd be nice alright!👍
Hard to fault that logic @Grumpypants
Actual price for White interior is EUR1,936…whilst Tesla show EUR1,200, this additional spec also attracts VRT and the actual amount is 1,936. Just drawing your attention to these matters …same with any other options (Car colour 1,300 —>2097, 20" wheels, tow tow hitch). Interior trim colour, weels and colour of car is one thing but in relation to tow hitch this can be ordered and fitted afterwards (thus avoiding VRT. FWIW
Only on the Sr, on the lr the extras only come in slightly above the stated amount (assume because no vrt relief above 50k anyway?)
VRT calcs are complex, but main point is to understand the true cost of optional extras. Prices quoted on Tesla order page is itemised for cars and options, but these price are before VRT and SEAI grants. VRT is additional cost and SEAI is a benefit. You need to go to the actual Cash price at end of page to see the actual impact/cost of any choices selected.
You're right. Adding €2500 worth of add ons is increasing the VRT by around €1000.
€11,000 of the car's cost is tax 😭
Think I'll stick with black seats. When I'm driving I won't see them anyway 😞
I can't recall the chain of events, but if one were to place a new order on the Tesla site, when do you apply for the finance? Looking hard at this now.
You can apply anytime after you make the order.
Anyone had any issues with the rear hatch rattling and creaking on back roads?
I tried adjusting the rubbers, and it seems to have quietened it a bit, but it's still there, kind of annoying when the inside of the cabin is so quiet at the best of times.
Assume you mean the non facelift Y - if so yes, for ages. Couldnt figure out where it was coming from, even thought it might have even been the suspension but eventually figured it out to be the boot. took a lot of blind fiddling with stoppers to get it to stop but eventually managed it. annoying when you have to drive the car in order to test if the adjustment worked. for me I think it was the stoppers closest the hinges (rather than the ones near the latch)that eventually sorted it.
still have a number of intermittent rattles in the cabin that annoy me, particularly a very sharp vibration noise near the windshield that happens when over very rough surfaces. but that boot squeak drove me nuts
I hit the order button. Decided on the RWD, Stealth Grey and Black interior.
If anyone else is ordering, be warned, I placed the order and got a call within an hour to say it was coming off the boat in Dublin today, and I was asked when I wanted to pick it up!!!
I had to tell them I wanted to hold for the 252 plate, so that car was unassigned, and the order is on hold. Will kick back in on July 1st.
I thought there would be a few weeks for delivery.
I would have thought so too,but then Tesla will always try to get as many out before the end of the quarter.
Within the last 3-4 weeks they should be able to pre register the 252 plate and be ready to go from the 1st.
That's not the way they work though - all about this quarter.
That's what I mean, book the sale in this quarter but have the government let you pre register the licence plate.
Yeah but I think for a new vehicle the registration date counts as the date of sale?
I believe Tesla financials are contingent on orders delivered to customers before quarter end.
If everyone pushes back there should be loads of MYs available for collection on July 1st or thereabouts.
Need everyone to stand firm to make it work though.
I was at the Nevo show yesterday. I walked away with 5 Tesla mugs, a water bottle and steel cup after paying a deposit. Order isn't yet complete though, as I haven't selected finance or provided any additional info. They said any orders/deposits paid at the event would give a free Tesla home charge point.
Won't be completing any details til I know delivery is July. I'm not a plate snob, but for the sake of 2 weeks, I would prefer the 252 plate. Didn't take test drive, so easily cancelled, making it an easy decision, no commitment.
Went with MY, RWD Stealth Grey. Considered the LR, but I don't see the benefit. Not much faster off the line. Am I missing something other than the extra 120ish km?
Love the M3 and would be happy enough to keep mine, but the MY is just more practical for me and mine.
have the highland overnight while my older model is doing some end of warranty jobs. I posted here a few days ago that the looks wouldn’t really make me change. After driving the highland AWD launch edition all day I’m not sure that view has changed. Interior is more refined to be fair especially in white. Rear screen, handy for kids. But after that I’m struggling….
correct - as they are a direct-to-consumer provider, the revenue can only be realised when the customer has the product, and has paid for it.
Normal car manufacturers sell to distributors not to customers. e.g You’re not buying your bmw from BMW Germany, you’re buying it from Joe Duffy ltd
120km is a pretty large range difference that's really what you would be paying for
