Yeah. If you want to save yourself the trouble of calling in in person, call up the store to see if your phone is accepted by giving them the IMEI. Just back up the phone before you trade it in, and don't factory reset it until after they've done the tests in-store.

Traded in old Galaxy A12 with cracked screen for €1 , got boost €200 off for Pixel 9a, happy as a clown 🤡. They've sold me €20 top up voucher as well. This was second VF store ( Killarney)I've tried, first one ( Tralee) didn't accept the phone with cracked screen.

Got one yesterday. They wouldn't take the 8a as a trade but I had a old 3a got €216 off. Debating to sell my 8a to CEX making it a free 8a to 9a upgrade or passing it to a family member.
I have a couple old Samsung handsets but the screen is wasted on one (can't see anything), and the other is having difficulty switching on.
Is there any way to find the IMEI code with the phones in that condition?

I had a look at the tradein page on the Vodafone website as I have the redmi 12 5g. It says it doesn't accept this as a trade in so I cant get the 200 tradein even though no cracked screen.
Am I missing something?

As part of the valuation process you have to download a testing app. If the screen doesn't work you won't be able to do that, so you might not be able to use those unfortunately.
I think you should try and walk in to VF store and see what happens. You might have a chance I think. They definitely accept Redmi 12 Note 5g though.
The stores accept a completely different list than online.
Some accepted online aren't accepted in store and vice versa.
