WPATH thread closed?

Why?

A US Ob/Gyne who for several years carried out "gender-affirming" hysterectomies based on WPATH guidelines has written an important article about why she has concluded that the guidelines are unfounded and misleading, and that "on gender medicine, the time to course correct is now".

It was posted (not by me, but I want to discuss it) in the trans/sport threads because the WPATH thread is closed, but clearly the WPATH thread is where it belongs. Or is there another thread already open that I've missed?

It just says the discussion has been closed. It doesn't say by who. I agree by the way. Whatever about some of the other "trans" threads, the two most important are the sports one and the "medical" one which was the one closed.

I think that in years to come society will look back on this era and wonder how, given our current level of scientific and medical knowledge, so much harm was allowed to be done to so many people. It would be great to have a thread where we could discuss developments, even if it doesn't have a high level of daily traffic.

Contacting the mods would generally be the first port of call for something like this, they'll know better than anyone else as to why it was closed. Any of the forum mods in CA would have been able to point you in the right direction.

If you are unsure of who the CA mods are you can just click into one of the warnings under the notes section of you profile and you'll see some of their names.
