Sorry for giving an honest opinion. I really should buy into modern society " they are all great hurlers and wonderful people and are all good enough to win tomorrow and play for Kilkenny seniors". How dare I discuss a teams chances of winning or losing an all Ireland final in detail.

Where is a good place to park today in Kilkenny, I’ll either be coming in the freshford road or the Tullaroan road

Fair play to the County Board and the clubs for the level of push they are giving to pursuade fans to go to the u20 final today. I have a feeling that Kilkenny fans will come out in numbers to support this team after being outnumbered at the minor final last year.

The very best of luck to our lads today. As someone living on the border and working with Tipp lads every day, I really do hope we can get over the line.

Lenihans, Carroll’s,Egan’s and OGormans no flags the business’s that make the most out of the crowds on match days. Absolutely disgraceful and I’ll be letting them know this evening win or lose. The County Council were also requested last week to put up bunting on the roundabouts and they also did **** all and they would be on about creating business in the City. They have no problem organising running events and closing down the City because the powers that be are involved in running?

anyway Anthony Daly’s headline this morning on the Independent says it all. The very best of luck to the U20’s today some boost if we can win.

Starting to fill up here now. big crowd to come in hopefully. Senior camogie team very poor. Not at the races at all. I think I counted 3 scores from play. A lot of work for tommy shefflin to do.

It's mostly Tipp fans in the section I'm in atm interestingly. Camogie team were very poor and deservedly lost.

My God you are insufferable you are referring to the streets of Kilkenny which is a major fundraiser for Kilkenny City Harriers a club that is around along time in Kilkenny and have produced many great athletes that our City should be very proud of. There are other sports available to people in our city not just GAA. People like you and your attitude make people hate the GAA. I can also tell you that KCH trained many young men and women over the years during the weather months for them to go back to their clubs fit for hurling and camoige. Just also for your information one of Kilkenny best fitness coaches Noel Richardson is a coach with KCH that club that shouldn't have their fundraiser.

Those pubs you refer to I hope they bar you.

Wouldn't take any notice of some on this forum all they do is champion their own club members

if this is the future of hurling, I don’t know what to say. Barely a whimper in the crowd. Shocking rubbish to watch.

Two down at halftime and I'm pretty sure we had the breeze in that half. Quite simply we have to stop conceding their puckouts, giving them the ball is alllowing them to work the ball into a scoring position far too easily. Particularly when we have the wind it doesn't make much sense to allow them to have the ball so easily. I don't think we've overturned possession once inside their 45. Half forwards aren't in the game at all. Not confident we can turn this around in the 2nd half.

Exact same thought. Both teams playing "modern" hurling. Awful tripe to watch. Game will be gone in 5/10 years as a spectacle if this persists

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,831 ✭✭✭me89

    Destroyed

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,521 ✭✭✭JJs Left Hand

That team was beaten before the game started. Completely over coached to the short passing style that they didn't play the conditions in the first half. No press on the Tipp puck out. Sideways passes and taking about 6 handpasses to get to midfield. Playing a sweeper with a gale. McDermott and McEvoy shouldn't have seen the second half. And really the players looked like they never thought they'd win.

    Well done Tipp

Murphy was the only forward causing bother, they should have sent on more on top of him, float them in against the breeze in the second half.

The game plan wasn't working and they had no plan B

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,170 ✭✭✭morphy87

it’s actually shocking, it wouldn’t entice you back even after a victory, better atmosphere down through the years at league games

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 667 ✭✭✭jamesbond2022

That second half could be summed up best by Einstein

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results

    Embarrassed again by tipp

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 113 ✭✭Hurlingtothebone

Amazed that people are surprised by the result

Well done Tipp great display far better team and Tipp will get plenty of hurlers out of that squad Kilkenny on the other hand not so much

Two years in a row Kilkenny beaten in their own back yard

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 703 ✭✭✭mullinr2

Tipp can now add today to last years inor victory plus 16 and 19 in Senior. They certainly have our number at all grades.

Hopefully the minors can kick on and win, now that looks like a very good Kilkenny team reminiscing our minor teams in the 00s.
