Footage too graphic to post. Must be dozens of people ran over by a car in a packed street.
There’s a Snapchat video that’s in 2 parts. The first part is the car before it plows into people and the car is being attacked by people. Why, I don’t know.
Guess we'll found out in due course at the police press conference.
Not on X for the very same reason but viewed this to get a more holistic picture and (though we cannot prejudge) this does seem to have been a tragic accident in response to a guy being in fear of a mob attacking his car. A case of people being frustrated to seeing a car there but using violence rather than just words to express displeasure and then there being truly unfortunate consequences.

This is what started it
I don't see how driving a car into a crowd of people is a "tragic accident". It doesn't matter whether you were panicked, frustrated or angry. It wasn't an accident, he decided to drive his car into people, and cause them serious injury or worse.
You are right about the Gaelic Grounds. It was actually worse after the Limerick Cork game as there was an even greater crowd. I don't understand why the guards allow motorists to drive through a throng of people nor do I understand the mentality of some drivers who think that they have aright to drive through the crowds, often in very close proximity to the people. One missed accelerator, and some of the drivers are elderly and arrogant, and the consequences aren't worth thinking about.
Driving a car into a crowd of innocent people isn't a tragic accident.
sky news are taking the piss. I watched their coverage for a good twenty minutes and they repeat the police advice to not share video on social media, which I completely agree with. What have sky news done on their X account ? Shown video of part of the incident. Watch now for the special programme by sky several times a day…

Same in Thurles and Croke Park. Local access is allowed. I honestly think some people do it on purpose to be cnts. Others think they are "winning" by parking as close as possible and you see that on Boards with threads about where to park for matches.
I definitely know at least one person who's house is much newer than the stadium does it on purpose because she thinks the stadium should have been moved to a greenfield site.
From where?
Don't be speading shite.
He reversed into the girl with the red hair as she walked across the road and the others took umbrage to it
What a horrific story.
I watched the story on RTÉ a few minutes ago. I was in shock when I watched it on the telly. A large number of my extended family are Liverpool FC supporters. They were celebrating a huge moment for the club's history winning the Premier League. I don't know what they're going to think now when they see this incident being reported on the news this evening. They were celebrating huge emotions of happiness & joy from the events from Anfield yesterday. And feelings of shock & horror would probably their response arising from the events this evening. I hope that all of the victims are not seriously hurt.
The BBC News Channel got info that the 53 year old was driving at a speed of about about 20mph in the car when he run over the victims in the incident. That doesn't appear to be that fast when seeing an incident like this unfold in real time. I would imagine that if this incident was given the definition of a terror attack by police; I would suspect that the car would go to a much faster speed running over more people while giving us the possibility of seeing more injuries.
Police in Liverpool will be giving a press conference on the incident to the media at 10:30pm.
Get's worse every time i see it. What kind of sick bas*ard drives into a crowd like that.
I too was thinking of this very incident when I saw the footage.
I looked over those posted videos and it is as clear as the day is long what happened. The driver ended up in the midst of a crowd that set upon his car. And he tried to get away for better / for worse.
Policing of the demonstration shouldn't have allowed that car to get there.
53y old white male with a pram in the boot is not your typical towel-head terrorist.
Mod Edit: Warned for breach of forum charter
Right at the start of the video you can see the guy in blue attempting to move people away and someone actually saying same so no that was not the start of it
I think the driver panicked, the guys hitting the rear of the car at the start have a lot to answer for, questions to be asked why a vehicle was allowed access at such a time of high volume of people. Prayers for all those injured.
How on earth can that twitter poster state that is how it started when clearly the car did not magically appear with a crowd around it. An eye-witness replied although nobody can verify if telling the truth.
From that video, there's definitely other vehicles trying to travel down that road too. Not just the one car.
From a WhatsApp voice messsge. Relax with the tone.. hopefully not true, but will wait for something official
Reading the incident started a lot further up the street and the driver was driving like a lunatic past crowds of people endangering many including families with children. Hope they throw the book at him and he never see's the light of day again.
A witness who was on the street that it happened said he saw the car hit an ambulance on the street. The poor asked two questions which were “why and what happened ?”
Horrifying. Not a Reds fan, but a shame they couldn't enjoy their moment without this BS.
Hopefully nobody died.
Some real bang of "it was the Liverpool fans fault really" off some of these comments. Have people really not learned at this stage?
Not very many roads officially closed off https://liverpoolexpress.co.uk/lfc-premier-league-victory-parade-faqs/
if his car had already been parked there it might explain how he got into that position.
WhatsApp voice message. Ffs🙄
yes, from someone at the scene who said he’s almost sure at least 3 dead. I’m not saying it’s true. Just the messsge seemed to be from someone actually on the scene!!!
Apparently not.
So your source for claiming three people died is a WhatsApp voice message?
Jesus Christ, have a word with yourself.
