New season so time to open the spring thread.
Will we get an improvement from the previous two stinkers? Time will tell.
A mostly cloudy and dry start in Dublin 13 with any rain spreading southeast fizzling out.
A roaster in North Kerry, very warm here in Listowel this afternoon, just over 23C now at at my site near Tralee.
Same pic as that re blue sky in Sligo. Not even the wispy clouds today. 22c now.
Lovely day on east coast too, but, as usual temps pegged by the Irish Sea. 13.4c atm right by the sea in Greystones.
Some great sunsets over Dublin every night now

BBC weather have the break coming Monday.
For the North…
Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday Sunday is expected to be another dry and fine day with lots of sunshine. Monday will have a dry and bright start to the day, but it will turn cloudier in the afternoon with a few showers developing. These showers will be locally heavy with a risk of thunder. Tuesday will have a mixture of sunny spells and some heavy and thundery showers. Showers will ease later in the day.
Just a blip for some parts
This weather is the sweet spot for me. Not too hot but just right for me. I could live in this climate.
My Flowers and Vegetables are doing well thanks to wet ground (poor drainage thanks to clay) and a good mulch of well rotted manure.
Oak Park reporting 29% humidity at 15:00, I don't recall every seeing humidity that low in Ireland before. @sryanbruen do you happen to have any records on humidity? Couldn't find much online.
23C and 34% humidity here just up the road in South Kildare.
I'll be very sorry to see this weather break. Next weekend right through into the bank holiday weekend is looking unsettled unfortunately and fingers crossed now we don't end up with a repeat of the 2020 summer from June onwards following a lovely spring.
We had several weeks of blue skies before Easter, then a week long deluge during Easter and then back to the blue skies just after Easter and we have another 5/6 days of good weather to come. I think the main worry for me definitely is how will this summer pan out because this Spring has seen more summer than any stage over the past 2 years. Fingers crossed that the upcoming return to normal service is only a 2 week interruption at most and then back to some settled weather mid June. Time will tell.
Incredible weather. Spring 2020 was very nice from memory but Spring 2025 has been wonderful too and probably even better although I don't have the data to prove it.
Have you enjoyed the last 3 weeks of sun Gonzo? Make sure you are not waiting for summer to arrive or it will be September! Embrace the light.
21ºc here in carrick on shannon lovely unbroken sun 🌞 I feel for those on the east coast where temperatures are 17ºc to 20ºc , Newport mayo had a temperature of 23.4ºc an hour ago 😀
With this run of great weather I start to worry what summer will bring! As often said, the weather tends to balance itself out. I hope it waits for autumn for wet and windy!
Yep, the breeze has died away now so it's lovely and warm but it was positively chilly again this morning with the wind. Thankfully my balcony is south west facing so we're totally sheltered from the wind and being 4 stories up we get sunshine until well after 9pm now, so no complaints at all!
What a beautiful evening, enjoying the Friday night Fish n Chips at our table with a view 😃
Enjoy the fish n chips 🍟. I'm just putting a fresh coat of oil on my decking for the long hot summer !
Met say 26c in west, Saturday 😍 Lovin this omega block
Dry yet again on Saturday with unbroken sunshine. Top temperatures will range 17c along eastern fringes to 25c further west, possibly climbing to 26c in Connacht, all in light to moderate easterly or variable breezes.
Yeah there is some amount of turf being cut and it's drying fast. Some fresh stuff...
Oh…I am not that tall.
Was very cold this morning got down to 6c but inside was roasting had to leave the window open all night 😀
Omg is all that yours ? Do you sell it in winter or is it personal use 🤔
Really nice Robwindstorm, did you put it together yourself?
The turf? Not mine. I don't burn turf anymore. You can't smoke it Dazler 😉
🤣🤣
sunset outside Portarlington
For the record, not often you see such a fine day across Ireland.

Ya this is the sunniest it's been for a couple of years. In 2018 weather stayed good right through Summer and 2020 was poor. So a 50/50 outcome. But this is Ireland so Atlantic bound for a spell soon. Hopefully itl interact with Azores high at times.
