Action24 (alarm.com) vs HomeSecure (Ajax)

I've been considering getthing the Action24 monitored alarm, but recently came across HomeSecure, which has comparable features, and seems to be very popular on here.

Action24 seems to use the alarm.com system and HomeSecure use the Ajax system. Both are very comparable, but some difference that I've noted:

Action24 contract lasts 36 months, and after you own the system. With HomeSecure, you can own it after 36 months or buy it out earlier.
Alarm.com (Action24) can have security cameras on the system. Ajax (HomeSecure) seem to not have security cameras as part of the system.
Ajax has a feature that reminds you to set the alarm if you leave the house and forget. Not sure if Alarm.com has this.

Any other pros or cons of each system that I am missing that makes one better than the other?

I had not heard of action24. I like the idea of the external bell box, homesecure dont have that. I am going to ring them for a quote. How much was your quote and for how many sensors etc?

Yes, the external bell box on Action24 is good. Many companies now are just putting up a sticker.

Another company on my radar now is Network Security.

All quotes are coming in around €30 - 40. I think the prices are ok, but main thing is I want to have a system that is extendable beyond a security system in future, and allows some smart home features.

Action24 were super expensive for me, and were not budging. Installation was either 180 or 270 - higher price if i went over a certain number of sensors (cant remember now what the amount was for lower install). I think we had 13 down and it was 270.

Monthly was the same price more or less per month, at €32ish.

There is another thread here i was reading, and now i am thinking of buying everything myself and setting it up. Im just trying to figure our what i need to buy.

I have Action24 alarm in my house with. contact sensors on front and back doors. shock sensors on the windows and two pirs. external flashing bellbox (non sounder) and touchscreen keypad.

cost is €34/pm install was €50 at the time have it installed just over two years now and honestly other than it being a deterrent i find the cost to be a waste i will be cancelling the contact as soon as i can. we used to set it when leaving the house as first but as i have two dogs who figured out how to open the door into the hall we used to have false alarms so stopped setting it.

honestly i think i would have been better buying a fake led bell box on amazon/aliexpress and printing a sticker to put on it. along with a doorbell cam which i now have also.

I feel like I'm just wasting money paying the monthly fee.

That's why I haven't pulled the trigger yet on any system, and wondering which system is the best for future use as a smart home system, and not just a security alarm.
