The king is dead, long live the king.
With the 2024 season done and dusted and lots of chatter now about drivers and how they will perform for the 2025 season, thought it would be no harm to start a 2025 season thread.
Go!
Yes, it was reported on Newstalk.
In other news, AMKC still can't post a properly working link.
It took me a while to get that 😄
Here you go

Well Dunne 🤣
Good one 🤣
It's getting murkier. Oli Oakes flew to Dubai from Miami after resigning. No reported sign of him since. The whole transfer of Hitech to Oakes is also very questionable. No money changed hands according to a Labour MP. The shares were 'relinquished'. This all happened just as the Mazepins were being sanctioned by the EU and UK.
Ya, I've seen a few people online making knowing comments about the Mazepins without giving any sort of information. All very odd.
Pretty fùckin gas that the Oakes dissappearance into the horizion and the Doohan/Colapinto swap actually genuinely appear to be entirely unreleated and a genuine coincidence.
How very Alpine though. At least their on track performances should improve with Colapinto in the team and Gasly being excellent.
Could be worse, they could have a useless driver that's the son of the owner and can't be gotten rid of.
Can't wait for the conspiracies when Colapinto crashes and Gasly benefits from a safety car
It never ends. Having talks with Perez now apparently

Verstappen was taking part in a GT3 test today at the Nurburgring in a Ferrari
Breaking news:
Man, who's never known anything other than being filthy rich, doesn't see the point in cost cap.
well what is the point of it when the big teams just skirt around it anyway with all sorts of nonsense
Electioneering.
Do you think it's a coincidence that we have the closest field in the history of the sport?
I'm not entirely convinced Colapinto will be a significant improvement on Doohan.
Not disputing the uselessness of Lance Stroll, but currently he is joint 9th/10th on 14 points. Ahead of Yuki, Lawson, Sainz, Gasly…and his team mate Alonso who has 0.
The field is quite close, there are no no-hoper teams and all of the teams are worth a massive amount. All because of the cost cap. Be such a retrograde step to remove it.
Looks like the lap in those life size Lego cars was the most genuine fun some of the drivers had in a long time. Even Lewis was haing fun.
Its race week!
Royalty is wrong and the British honours system is a sham, but still - fair play to Martin Brundle...
This is really well earned. I associate Brundle with F1 in the same way as Murray Walker now.
I don't want to get all AMKC about it, but Martin Brundle was never a big part of my F1 viewing experience. In the 90s -00s I generally stuck with RTÉ, and kind of drifted off F1, never really watched it on ITV (well highlights after the live race on RTÉ) or pre Sky BBC, it was only when my dad got in Setanta for the 3pm premiership matches around 2014-15 that I noticed how they had BBC coverage when the BBC themselves didn't. By then it was already gone over to Ben Edwards and David Coulthard and that was how I got back into it.
Scumbag Ben Sulayem is working a barely disguised Palpatine manoeuvre.
Not that the FIA are unused to such carry-on, mainly in the Balestre era.
So the question is, will it end up as a mere FIFA, or a full blown International Boxing Association.
I was coming here to post the same thing. Seems that all major World sporting groups go down the route of utter corruption at the top. Hopefully people wise up to this, but I fully expect that he'll get his policies introduced and he'll be re-elected too. Which sucks.
Sky have just gone through a piece there on Alpine, it is all very soap opera at the minute - which makes sense when you think Olly Oakes resigned as team principal.
Deleted.
I posted in the wrong thread.
Wrong thread too.
