Kneecap - New Footage Read OP for Mod Warning

I have to admit, I was one of the many people that supported Kneecaps public stance recently on being against the Israeli genocide against the Palestinians in Gaza and how vocal they were at Coachella.

They stood by their morals and the morals of most civilised people throughout the world I thought - fair dues.

Now however it seems theyve played right in to the hands of the Zionists by having new video footage emerge from a gig they held in November 24' in the Kentish Town Forum where a band member was shouting "Up Hamas, Up Hezbollah' and they displayed the Hezbollah flag.

Theres also another piece of footage from November 23' where the band were shouting "The only good Tory is a dead Tory…Kill you local MP" and this has now started an anti terrorist investigation in the UK.

Have they gone too far with all this and discredited themselves or do you support them, just interested to see if these new videos have swayed public opinion on them.

Mod: Given the circumstances I have reopened the original thread and merged the new one into it to keep discussion together. I understand that the two subjects are intrinsically linked but if we can try to keep this thread to discussion of Kneecap and save wider discussion on the Israel/Palestine conflict for the appropriate thread it would be appreciated. No evidence of anything has not stopped you. Iron Maidens exist, and their purpose, whether or not they have been used is as a torture device.

Contrast that to Kneecap : many people, including boys, were in living memory tortured and maimed for life by men dressed like the fellow in Kneecap, with balaclavas, in a process known as Kneecapping. How anyone could defend or glorify that is sick.
When others wear balaclavas, like the punk band in Russia, they do not do it waving a tricolour and with the intention of referring to or immitating a paramilitary group. Big difference.

How do you know what anyone was dressed like when they were doing any of what you mentioned?

Balaclavas a.k.a ski masks and other masks are used by many bands, the list is quite big but no matter what band or act are pointed out you will no doubt ignore that kneecap are a tongue in cheek stage act and say 'but but but..' until you can come up with any excuse why their use of it is not the same. Or that they do not count because you have not heard of them.

Why would a russian band wave the tricolour? When did kneecap? How is the tricolour associated with terrorism?

You have still failed to answer any of the questions i have asked you. why is that?

Do you know which ethnic origin they perceive themselves to be?

If anyone is diverting, it is not the person or people that you accuse.

Also, could you link to something that shows kneecap actively calling for people to murder their mp's?

I think most people weren't aware of the meaning of the origin of the term Joy Division, which is why they got away with it. Kneecapping though - the meaning is hard to miss.

We know how those who did the kneecapping were dressed, from the thousands of people who were kneecapped. They usually wore balaclavas, like the man in Kneecap. Some people even had to have limbs amputated after kneecapping, and 1 in 5 walk with a permanent limp. I answered your questions already. Kneecap are Irish, with Irish passports. The people they encouraged their followers to kill were English, in England.

There are some questions about the late Ian Curtis's views, but not those of the other Joy Division members. They called their next band New Order because their manager heard the phrase on a documentary about the Khmer Rouge (after its tyranny ended) and suggested it to the band, who really liked it.

I agree people should be able to name racist bands. There are bound to be some, but no point in saying there are loads unless you can give names.

There would rightfully be outrage if there was. Nobody at a paid for concert on the loyalist side gloats over the death of a Irish nationalist politician: yet Kneecap sing about Maggies in a box? And Kneecap say the only good Tory is a dead Tory, and kill your local MP? Kneecap have also encouraged dissidents by calling the PSNI the RUC, and appearing in photos sitting on top of what appeared to be vandalised / damaged PSNI land rover etc.

Back to the point, do you approve of a racist band like Kneecap going to England and calling on their followers to murder poloticians there that Kneecap does not like?

I am all for successful Irish groups, I am Irish and love and follow lots of Irish groups and singers. We have plenty of world class acts to be proud of. However what other country in the world is let down by a racist band not only supportiing the people behind the Oct 7th massacre and kidnapping of 250 innocent people ( why else did they shout UP HAMAS at a concert ? ) but who also encourage their followers to kill innocent politicians in a neighbouring country? What am embarrassment.

I know the land rover is theirs, but they hired or bought it and put stickers / graphics on it to suggest it was a PSNI land rover. They said the PSNI were like the RUC who they of course denigrated, and sat on top of the vandalised / damaged land rover which appeared to have been PSNI. What a way to encourage dissidents.
