Still Raphina for me
Does he have a release clause? Aren't they common in La Liga?
they’re required to have them, though tend to set them high. His is rumoured to be about 125 million.
I know a lot of people don’t like Barca but I would have liked to seen them win it. Mostly just to piss off madrid but they have a lot of quality players too. I’m sure the will win it eventually but they need some experienced players maybe
the reporter David lunch was saying not to ignore ait nouri as he is a favourite at the club apparently
Just can't see him wanting to leave Madrid after one season to head back to England.
Arteta seems a bit obsessed with Liverpool, talking about them in the bulid up to the PSG game,Liverpool are lucky they were in the right place at the right time🙄 . The sense of entitlement from him and some of the Arsenal supporters has been quite funny this season.
He can cry when he comes second on 97 and 94 points. Until then, get a grip.
Completely false information.
Liverpool have 82 points after 35 games this season, having already wrapped up the title. They could finish on 91 points.
In 2022/23, Arsenal had 81 points after 35 matches and finished on 84 points.
In 2023/24 Arsenal had 80 points after 35 games and reached a total of 89 points.
No club has ever finished a season on 94pts
Great bit of rubbish from Arteta and his Lego head to get our players focused for the next 3 games. Let's hit the 90 point mark and shove it down his throat.
Arsenal have never broken 90 points and only got to 90 points once in the premier league history.
I hope they get knocked out tonight and we beat them at the weekend. Big chance they could end up finishing 4th if Newcastle beat them too.
92 points, you know well what I meant.
5th in a "two" horse race. It was never really a race though tbh.
I find Arteta annoying but I have to say Arsenals recruitment over the past few years has been very impressive - spending big money to bring in the likes of Rice, Raya, Odegaard etc, and then getting good money for the likes of Smith-Rowe, Nketiah etc.

The new sporting director they have replacing Edu (this passed me by completely at the time) is apparently the person at Athletico Madrid responsible for bringing in Rodri, Greizman and Oblak. They have strong links with Zubimendi this summer as well.

I think they need a real goalscorer to win a league - I think defensivly they are better than Liverpool or City at their best - but attacking wise they have too much dependence on Saka and Odegaard and no-one capable of putting up the numbers that Haaland and Salah put up.
How this feels
Stick that tweet up on the dressing room wall for the weekend!
I honestly forgot we're playing them this weekend. Assume we'll just pick whomever looks sober enough. Except Chiesa. Never Chiesa.
found this discussion on how Liverpool rebuild this summer quite interesting
They mention vanderson from Monaco as possible rb. His stats look good.
I love reading things like that from him. It's pathetic, and I don't think it's a winner's attitude. Winners don't compare, or make excuses, they just constantly try to be better. I don't know if he has that mentality
Hopefully we batter them this weekend, just to put him back in his box
That said, I still want them to win tonight. Arteta's a fool, I still hate Rice for the Ireland betrayal and their insa-fans are truly contemptible, but the real life fans I know are all a sound bunch, they're generally a well run club and they're up against the sportswashing engine of a country responsible for horrific human rights abuses
...but I then hope Inter batter them in the final though 😋
Arsenal to win tonight, get to the final and boss that only to lose out courtesy of some Italian sh*thousery.
Perfect.
What's the supposed angle with the Julian Alvarez links? Has he got a girlfriend or child back in Manchester?
Otherwise, you're looking at a Spanish speaking player enjoying the Madrid sunshine, coming off the back of an excellent season in a strong Atletico team where he is contracted for another five years. He would have to be really pushing to move back to the northwest of England for it to be a runner. Even then, I think Atletico would want €100 million for him. Plus the stick he would get off the City fans (and players).
It looks like a really really long shot to me unless there is some angle I am missing.
Stoke on Sunday so 👌
I hear the set piece coach has been working on a special guard of honour formation for the day.
I really don't want any more experiments - we should be looking to rack up as many points as possible. Arsenal will (should) want to put down a performance and everyone should be up for it.
tháinig a lá
Nah, Arsenal to lose tonight and walk straight into a Guard of honour at Anfield on Sunday is just delightful.
Liverpool make a proposal to Kevin DeBruyne?! I think that's enough internet for the night!
De Bruyne will be 34 in June. Not the age range we'd go for.
Hypothetically, depends on the deal. A year or two at a reasonable wage on a free and he's a worthwhile bit-part player. What a lad to have on the bench! But of course if he's looking for the money he was on at City it's a no-go. He grew up a Liverpool fan though, so ya never know… being reported by Di Marzio anyway, so at least some vague hint of a moderately reputable source.
Richard Hughes tried to sign him last summer, Man City wanted Diaz in part exchange. Liverpool weren't willing to lose Diaz so instead Alvarez moved to Madrid. The speculation about Liverpool again trying to sign him this summer began after the reports of the previous effort became public, coupled with the fact that Nunez will be moved on and he looks like the perfect Simeone type forward.
Given the fact that there are not that many forwards available that fit Liverpool's requirements and could go straight into the team the speculation makes some sense. However as you say the weather is better in Spain, so why would he want to return the cold and damp climate of North West England.
All we can do is wait and see, experience tells us that the reported speculation about transfer targets has been wide of the mark more often than not.
