If you see a job that needs doing..
I’m just making dairy board.ie great again. I’m putting a 100% tariff on tileman comments from this day forth.
if I said lousie Crowley was a Dykwe could someone please ban me from board, lifetime. Sullivan’s farm maybe, if they have the time?
🙄🙄🙄😉😉😉🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😚😚steady up honey. Someone musta stud on your nuts today
@suckler Never a truer word was spoken 👏
If you’re going to tell someone to go back to national school maybe learn the difference between your & you’re. Example, your posts are idiotic because you’re an idiot.
please wait why’ll we wait to get you a suitable size tampon to take home with you.
Mod note; your wish has been granted.
looks like the paki and India are going to get stuck into each other
How many cattle are you providing for?
SPS pumps are probably the big name, there are a few others about. You need a submersible model to pump from a well.
Solar pumps are very simple and could be put together for a fraction of the cost of a complete unit.
The have submersible pumps now for wells.
Far too many these days, though they eventually shoot themselves in the foot and get banned anyway. Seems to have a personal vendetta against farming YouTubers, what a terribly sad life.
Is this thread broke again?
was it ever fixed?
yes its acting up on me .and no I don't think it really was
Anything from 60 to 80 I'd say. There's a small brook each side of the field but not overly deep
It doesn't need to be deep, as long as there is water there when you need it. Here is one of mine in a stream; it gets very shallow during the summer, but it doesn't usually dry up either.
I built my solar pumps for around €300 each, I'm not supplying 60-80 cattle with any of them but it should be scalable. An SPS pump would be well capable of the number of cattle anyway and there is a grant. With the grant and supplying that number of cattle the complete unit would probably start to look more appealing.
Ironic and idiotic
I think this is one of the sickest stories I have heard in a long time. No one thought of throwing in a lifebuoy, instead they had their phones out recording him drowning.
It's being raised in the dail today, and hopefully they can bring in a law to stop this recording and sharing of accidents and deaths. Are people so fuucked up that we need a law to make them act human.

That's a fair bit of water, especially if sucklers. What you could do is place a 1.5 m sewer ring in the field just inside the drain , water entering one side and exiting via overflow back into drain. You will have to pipe water from further up stream into the ring.
Question - I was thinking of subscribing to the Irish Independent e-newspaper. Does anyone know if it also includes the Farming Independent?
just checked on OH subscription and yes it seems to. Good value for €6/month
It does but the big story's might be slightly delayed online from a farming point. Suppose it keeps the paper edition relevant
Gardai trying to hold the crowd back - might have worked better if they started confiscating the phones.
I was listening to the radio on Tuesday whilst driving and I couldn't believe that anybody would take a photo/video and then put it online - fooking scumbags, may the rot in hell.
Trying To stop people filming in a public place is far from straightforward. As much as I agree with you it's a scumbag thing to do, I don't see how you can stop it legally.
Much preferred when we lived in a time that filming stuff wasn't a priority.
how is your oh these times doing good I'm hoping
Doing ok this week so far. Goes outside for an hour or so each day, but wrecked afterwards. Glad to be home. Plenty of appointments. Hopefully start chemo in a week or so when everything is healed. Still has vac pump attached 24/7 Hopefully that will go this week
My BIL has digger hired in on sites round Dublin for 20 years now. He said it’s a disaster. If anything goes any wee bit wrong instead of helping sort it out the lads all whip out phones and start recording. Or they are walking round into the slew reach like zombies with their heads down in phones.
Anyone know a planner or advisor who might help with my first TAMS grant application?
I'm not with Teagasc or any private advisor and I don't want to sign up with someone just to get help on a TAMS grant.
The application is for a weighing scales, solar fencer, and dehorning crate. It's seems fairly straightforward but I'd be happy to pay someone to help me with the sections on 'Nutrient Production' and 'Nutrient Storage facilities'. I don't want to get those wrong.
I'm in Waterford but I'd say a Zoom or TEAMS call would probably do, so a planner or advisor in any part of the country would be OK.
Thanks.
