I think that was 2012 when Leftfield played. There was drizzle in the first two hours with Trinity Orchestra and Solar Bears, but it started clearing up around Dan Le Sac's set onward and by the time of Aphex Twin is was the most glorious sunset.
Those early Forbiddens were ace.
I'd second that emotion. Unexpectedly so, for me. Was a bit skeptical, but quite the performers. Most unusual musical style, I thought, & a very 'up for it' audience.

Saturday is carrying a lot of the weight there , for me anyway. Not a whole pile outside of underworld interests me Sunday. Time to get listening to the new additions

Would be assuming that's our lot. Sunday is fairly brutal but ill go along for underworld regardless.
There was 6 stages and over 30 acts per day last year. Less than half that at the moment.

Disappointing announcement for me as no new names that immediately stand out (not a big surprise) and a number of DJ's I was looking forward to bopping to in Kilmainham seem to only be on the FF@Night line-up (deffo a surprise). I'm thinking of Spray, LB aka Labat, Juicy Romance…
Is this the first time they've put names on the initial poster and then not scheduled them for Kilmainham?
Also looking at the stage breakdowns, looking a little thin on the ground for me in the early evening compared to last year there was the likes of Sally C, Prozak, Salute, Flowdan, Imogen, Daniel Avery etc. all on in the tents between about 5 and 8pm.
I'm hoping there's some gold in there in the tent line-ups, especially in that early evening window. Anyone got any recommendations to share?

At a premium. No act is playing a DJ set later in the night for free.
If they want Jamie to play a festival live set and a DJ set later, they're offering a contract with higher fee than if it's just the live set at the festival. Same for everyone else.
How much he's charging for that DJ set and if POD think it's worth paying is the question.
he is djing at forbidden fruit so late night set isn’t out of the question. Sure Jamie xx has set up multiple club series in London and New York so he can play those 300-500 cap rooms. He enjoys doing them. He will be well compensated for his festival set. Sure likes of Caribou and four tet, floating points, bonobo have all done the late night forbidden afters in button factory etc for next to nothing for the person attending.
