New Thread to continue discussion for General Premier League. Old thread closed.
Definite pen now
after a FK, for shall we say, the smallest of contact
Stonewall penalty for Newcastle now
100% a peno
They were never not finding a way to bail Newcastle out here. Never a free kick in a million years.
Villa are +6 and also in contention. Everton once finished fourth with negative GD (2005). What point are you making??
Pawson needs investigating here. It can’t happen every week and we just keep writing off as variance.
Now 2pts seperates 8th to 11th
Brighton should have had a winner.
Because ridiculous things happen in football doesn't make it the norm. It can still be pointed out as such. But if a negative GD equates to a qualifying round exit, then that is probably the level.
Fair play on Keane dropping the 'cheating' bit in there
Sturridge and Co tapdancing around the "England prospect's" 'cheekiness'.
Re:Willock
EEven though it's offside, that's a mad tackle by Allison. Be handy to not give a damn bout the result I guess
Barnes dived as well for the free kick that led to the penalty.
Probably because it has absolutely nothing to do with their performance in the Premier League. United are the only team undefeated across those European tournaments this season. Don’t be too upset if they win it and qualify for the Champions League.
Hmm....who's upset ?
Think ManU have a chance, but would probably put money on Spurs in a one off to begin with if both go through.
Pointing out either side competing in the CL after such poor seasons is nothing more than it seems
Thank you for showing up hungover Liverpool and giving a massive boost towards Chelsea's CL qualification. We can call it quits because of that woke guard of honour nonsense.
No thanks to Maresca, another turgid perfumance here overall, and at home. Lavia has been great and Palmer has been ok, but nowhere near the level that Gary Neville is making out.
We've been lucky to play a team with the mindset of Liverpool today truth be told, and that second goal was just a calamity but we've needed a slice of luck like that.
"Woke guard of honour"?
You have an issue with showing respect to the champions?
You must hate rugby.
rugby does it after every game to show respect for the opposition, be they champions or not.
Well aware. I doubt the poster up above is, otherwise his head may explode.
i dont like it in soccer, complete tokenism.
and players if they chose should be allowed to ignore it and do some solo's or sprints or shots or whatever.
Palmer is wasted at Chelsea.
pen to palmer to finish up, gary can finish his orgasm here
Consider there's f*ck all respect anywhere near a football pitch, any "token efforts" should be applauded.
i'd start it with players towards ref's, and start dishing out cards if a lack of respect.
i think they tried that before but the powers that be bottled it after a few games.
Yup agree. Only captains should be allowed talk to a referee. Yellow card for breaking that law
Mourinho's Chelsea giving Fergie a guard of honour to a starting United team featuring Dong Fangzhou, Kieran Lee and Chris Eagles was peak comedy.
4 points seperates 2nd and 5th, Arsenals eyes on Europe, if they don't sort themselves out they'll end up 4th or 5th.
Spurs and united the same all eyes on getting into and winning the europa league final.
I'm sure all the youtube "fans" like Goldbridge and Anfield Agenda etc will be throwing out rage vids today for clicks.
Not sure Conor Bradley will be Slot’s preferred choice to replace Trent. Aside from the fitness concerns, he’s a little too rash at times.
Has there been any serious links to another right back?
Frimpong. He tried to join as a teenager but his parents wouldn't drive him to Liverpool for training (they lived in Greater Manchester) so he joined City instead
There was a clip of him on international duty playfully speaking with a scouse accent to Gravenberch which got people talking as well as rumours of a low release clause
However, I don't think we're actually in for him and he's even more attacking than Trent
Bradley should start the season as RB with Gomez and Quansah covering.
He's perfectly fine outside the injury issues. He kinda reminds me of a younger Robertson.
It'd be a risk starting next season with him as no. 1 choice at RB but a LB, CF and possibly DM are probably of higher need.
