Does a little back-boiler-y fire like that not need a flue? Where does all the carbon monoxide go?
Presumably there is a chimney behind the stove.
surely if you had that you’d build into the “backyard”.
Serious Yorgos Lanthimos movie vibes.
I think it's really cool and not that crazy a price.

The boom is back, baby! €645 for a 2-bed terraced house. Location is a huge part of that I suspect.
North facing back "garden" - I like the way they've put the kitchen to the front, so the living room extends out to the outside space - but it's tiny, and would literally never get the sun.
Nice renovation job though.
I know that house, and that beach - they're both absolutely beautiful.
But the road from the main road is a disaster on a sunny summer's day, you wouldn't want to be in a hurry to get in or out, and you'd be looking straight down on basically a linear car park from just outside your gate.
That just screams "cheap DIY cowboy flip job". I'd wonder how many issues and how much mould is hiding behind that fresh plasterboard. I suppose for the price it's not the worst place, though.
That gave me the shivers just looking at the pictures. I can sort of see potential in it, but it'd have to be a hard pass from me - there's not a single room that I thought "that's lovely", or even "that could be lovely" - and whoever put in that marble floor should be taken out and shot!
I like the name of the street :)
1970's property - check out the bathroom pic - looks like something from A Clockwork Orange….
The Two Mile, Coosan, Athlone, Co. Westmeath, N37WA46 is for sale on Daft.ie
Jesus, what a mess of a house! And ad, for that matter - I can't make head nor tail of it.
Horrible.

What was this ?
Gosh, I had hoped it would be fabulous inside, but it is about as bland as it's possible to get.
That's been done here before!
Looks like a set of public toilets.
That was my first impression! Doesn't appeal at all. A bit of landscaping would improve it.
Me too, Teapot Lane sounds lovely 😊
My current mountain of yet to be washed socks wouldn't fit in that entire house. Admittedly it's three weeks worth but still.
Stunning, both the house and the location.
Clearly no 'local needs only' on the PP...
I don't think landscaping would make much difference. The house is ugly. The owners probably paid top whack to some architect to design that. It looks very out of place. Architects bang on about a house fitting into its surroundings and then alot of times design something that looks hideous and stands out for the wrong reasons.
So much grey!
Its looks like a depressing bunker. I would hate it.
The crazy times are definitely back. 200k for a prefab in finglas.

This is lovely, bit small but it'd work as a holiday home or for somebody downsizing with retirement in mind.
All those stairs would put me off. Wouldn't want to be dealing with them if I was retired!
For 225k you could stay in a 5 star hotel in the area 750 times instead.
Sure, but you can't let the hotel room on AirBnB while you're not staying in it. Well, I mean, you could try, but it probably wouldn't go well.
Not if you're a family
Not really. My dad sold his house at the height of the boom for 1.4 mil. Builder/developer knocked it and built 2 houses on the site. Made a tidy profit.
I agree.
It reminds me of a GAA clubhouse from the outside.
