There's a link and image too
There's reliability concept known as the bathtub curve. The logic behind it is that there are three components to reliability, the first is poor design which results in premature failure, the second is random chance, sometimes things just don't work out and the third is that nothing lasts forever.
When you chart failures over time, the premature failures start high and fall away as you run out of really **** examples of the item, this is one end of the bathtub, while the random chance ticks away at a kind of flat rate or the bottom of the bathtub and then everything falls apart and failures spikes to give the other end of the bathtub.
Anyway, a 12 year old Mazda common rail diesel should be celebrated, it's really defied the odds to get here, a true champion!

Daysul A4
Nice add, but having your name as ‘P’ doesn’t inspire much confidence
Lovely Volvo with great interior. Really tempting but beige interior and my toddlers won't get along.
Unless oil changes are done on time the engine can give a good bit of trouble, they're a very dirty engine especially if maintenance is skipped.
folks, not the place I know but this thread always gets a good bit of traffic. A good pal is/was driving a 2.2 Mazda 6 that we believe is terminal and it is under the knife as we speak. He’s looking for a very short term runaround; €500 ish. Condition unimportant nor is NCT. Once it’s driving well, that’s the only requirement. Ideally Dublin but will travel within reason to collect. Please PM me if anyone has something that fits the bill 👍

1.6 petrol beetle here with test till next January up for €950 a good haggle in person might get ya closer to €500
A good find, but lord jaysus they're hideous looking yokes 🤢🤢
Ahh no. They are kinda funky and that blue colour is quite nice. I'd be happy enough to drive around in it. A bigger worry would be the 190k miles on what I understand is not a great engine (I remember on a different thread, that 1.6 petrol was being vilified in the Passat form, which I assume is the same unit as is in this)
Ah I think the engines are alright in them. Theres still loads of 1.4 and 1.6 Golfs and Passats knocking about. They tend to rust and fail on emissions eventually tho.

I like this, I've been wanting a convertable since the last hot spell! However my Octavia is still going fine, so I couldn't change..
I really like these. 2010 Seat Exeo with over a years NCT for €1,750
https://www.facebook.com/share/1AQmn8CSdc/?mibextid=wwXIfr
Why does it say Audi A4 /Exeo ?
The Seat Exeo of that era is a near identical clone of the more well known Audi A4 (of that same era)
Yeah its basically an A4 with Seat badges
And way uglier.
Sold now. Obviously someone didn’t mind the looks
Old shape Peugeot 3008, looks decent for the money.
Almost in banger territory - old tax Rav 4. Is it pricey for 3k?
I think so , petrol, €710 tax, milage not to bad, but for what it is if gets anywhere near €3000 he would be doing well.
