Personally, my sister was a massive Liverpool fan and she passed away from cancer three years ago this year. And while I do have a healthy dislike of ye, I know she would have been out celebrating this if she was still here. She was also a massive Meath fan, so Liverpool winning the title on the same day as Meath beating Dublin would have been her idea of heaven!

Only the last year I have been watching the Liverpool based YouTube channels, RedMen and TheAnfieldWrap etc…you can really see how much it means to them. A lot of them, old and young, were openly speaking about being in tears at various stages throughout the day which I found surprising to be honest. Mostly because I am quite stoic and cynical to a degree but probably because I am not from Liverpool and didn't grow up being indoctrinated into being a Liverpool supporter.
It really is huge for the club and city.
