    I've used the esbn site regularly and find it very good, the BG site gives more info, costs etc, it looks like the Flogas site doesn't even for smart plans. It's no big deal now that I've gone back to a 24hr plan.

    Had the same issue. Turns out the account name you use as part of the registration with ESB Networks must be letter-for-letter identical to that used with your provider. The same applies to the phone number you provide.

    Has anyone renewed to the non smart BWG plan, in the last couple of weeks, and then changed to the smart plan? I do wonder if they'll allow that change or whack some admin fee on my account.

    I realize it might be better to get onto the smart plan at this stage.

    The Flogas BWG smart 24hr fixed for 18 months, well at least I think I have as I haven't heard anything from either BG who I'm leaving or Flogas who I'm joining 🤔🤔

    Just off the phone with Flogas, my switch never went through, feck sake😡. She was talking about using the referral link, I pretended I had deleted the email 😏. I think I'll stay where I am on the BG EV plan as gas and oil prices seem to be dropping.

    BG have increased my electricity unit price by 1.0c since renewing with them mid March.On a standard smart plan.No prior warning.

    Looking for a bit of advice here folks.

    Have been on the bwg plan & a previous bord gais plan thanks to the info on this thread.

    Have a smart meter not activated,currently on a standard 24hr tariff with flogas & out of contract

    625kw solar with a 5 KW battery is operational 2 weeks now & I want to get paid for micro gen as well

    No EV in house

    Battery is running the house from 8pm- to solar activating again in the mornin

    Anyone in a similar situation to me & what plan are you on

    I emailed them yesterday about it as was hoping to use them before the mid term ended as they were supposed to be emailed after the 14 day cooling off period. They responded:

    'There is a slight delay in receiving this email at the moment, you did renew your contract 20 days ago, this email should be with you within the next few days.'

    There have been no announcements from BG regarding a change in unit rates. I assume your new contract had a 1c higher rate to the previous one? That's allowed. Randomly upping your rate mid contract isn't without an announcement.

    I rang them yesterday, no sign of my switch which I initiated on the 6th on the system at all. She could sign me up over the phone but not to the BWG plan, I declined and I've decided to stay on my BG EV plan until July when it finishes. Looks like the same has happened to you unfortunately, you'll need to give them a ring. If you aren't on the system just try again using the link provided here.

    I switched my elec from flogas to Energia but kept my gas with Flogas. My 460 euro credit I have from solar feed in disappeared from my Flogas account a couple of weeks ago and hasn't showed up in my bank account. Has this happened to anyone else that was in credit and switched?

    you usually have to request it but what were you expecting to happen? Your gas and electricity account are separate.

    Same here. I sent the email to Customer Support @ Flogas and requested credit transfer from electricity to gas account (quoting both account numbers). Also gave them my IBAN as an alternative but they choose to credit the gas account.

    Signed up to the “BWG Electricity 18 Month Fixed Energy” as an existing customer a few weeks ago. Have email confirmation of contract and link to the plan pdf.

    I’m after receiving a letter in the post and it states my offer plan as “DG2 24HR BAFF Fixed Elec 18 Apr25 RN”.

    Any idea if they have signed me up to the wrong plan?

    Haven’t received any tickets yet for emerald park either.

    that was on everyones letter, flogas have a history of messing up communication wether its in letters or different prices on the website, i wouldn't worry about it too much

    go back a page or two and you’ll see it discussed. Your unit rate can increase if pass through charges increase. These are set by the ESB. They can’t randomly up your unit rate.

    Some people disagreed with my interpretation. They claimed they were scammed. The above was confirmed on the phone to me.

    Make your own determination.

    Just received my first bill from Flogas since change to new contract on 01/04/25 and I see I no VAT added to my microgeneration. Looking at a previous bill, it was added. Is this correct?

    I have you posts before about that.Tte pass thru charges are on the standing charge or even pso,vat as far as I am concerned

    I told you I would wait untill I receive my first bill under my new contract.If there to be was an increase in the unit price they will have to inform me
