Starting a thread for 2025 gigs as they'll likely start rolling in.
I'll arbitrarily throw in Rob Beckett playing the Olympia on the 26th September 2025 which went on sale today.
There is a crossover of acts from last one and other festivals but not all of them will play gigs. Ben Howard, Beth Orton and The Barr Brothers stand out for me. Plus bound to be a few not announced yet playing gigs.
It's interesting that the first 2 acts announced Nick Mulvey and Black Country New Road aren't on this list. Would have expected Berninger to be announced too. Guess not everyone on the list will play a gig and not everyone who plays a gig will be on the list. Line up should start to be announced from early next month.
Yeah, not blown away by it.
Sean Carey would the only one I'd travel for personally.
Weezer for 92 quid in trinity feels very steep, I guess it's the way it's gone haha
i understand that a lot announced will be playing in group shows but it’s all a bit dull/repetitive to my tastes.
Money they look for is crazy. I suppose they know there main audience is people in late 30/ early 40’s with disposable income
Yeah very true! Just been used to trinners being 55-80!
it seems to be the most expensive show there. Kraftwerk was €50 plus fees
Yes its very underwhelming.
Fair enough. I'm personally going to wait until gigs have been announced before judging the line up.
Ive started to read and hear the pushback on prices has (thankfully) begun. People just starting to say no to the madness.

Similar deal with some Kendrick Lamar gigs in the US too. I know these are US gigs but hoping the pushback makes it's way this side of the pond too.
Bit harsh. Not my thing, but there are lot more douchebaggy I can think of e.g. Disturbed.
not enough disposable income about and 2 years between stadium tours for beyonce is probably too soon. People probably just paid off the 2023 tour when 2025 dates announced
a bit odd alright, i noticed BCNR are on at 9pm on Sunday 14th, so one would miss the COH finale, whereas Mulvey gig starting at 6pm Sunday 14th.
Also missing from list is : “Daithi” in Cyprus Avenue Saturday 13th, late night gig
lots more to be announced, thats the way they always do it
CMAT, Morgana and BIIRD playing Guiness Storehouse on 24th May
Tickets not selling well for this showcase gig on 1 May. Several very good bands there so if you're in the Galway area there's a chance to support some great young talent from all over the island. Bargain price too and every ticket gets entered into a draw for several bundles of giveaway vinyl.
24th May
Good bands for sure including Virgins, Adore and Nerves. 8 bands plus DJ til 2am for €15 + bf!
Disappointing Live at Leopardstown line up for me
The Academic 12th June
Jerry Fish 19th June
Marcus O'Laoire 10th July
Allie Sherlock 17th July
Darren Kiely 24th July
Saw the Charlatans and Human League there before amongst others
Personally think it is awful
Human League playing Collins Barracks 22nd August if you are interested .
Is that Marcus lad djing or cooking or just putting things in his mouth and making faces
djing whilst eating
Thanks - tempted but haven't bought tickets yet.
I wonder what Bobby Fingers will be doing at it? Maybe he'll take Jeff Bezos Boat out for a lap of the harbour.
Bobby's youtube channel is quality stuff.
Late lineup change!
Nixer have had to withdraw so delighted to add Galway/Dublin post hardcore band Bees & Sawdust to the lineup for the WXSW Blowtorch Showcase Thursday May 1. Doors 6.30pm, 8 bands, DJ 'til 2am. Tickets here https://www.eventbrite.com/e/west-by-sound-west-a-blowtorch-records-showcase-tickets-1112899846399
Brilliant news, a pity about Nixer but these guys are a great replacement.
Amy Macdonald playing the 3 Olympia on Sunday 30th November and the Telegraph Building in Belfast the following night. Presale on Monday with general sale on Wednesday.
Oh look, a proposed winter sports/entertainment arena that might be used for gigs with a 5k capacity. Be very handy anyway.

The fact MCD are involved they'd definitely want to use it for gigs, I presume it would be close to the luas stop
