I'll arbitrarily throw in Rob Beckett playing the Olympia on the 26th September 2025 which went on sale today.
The promise of ballot tickets is just to generate clicks, likes , marketing reach and newsletter sign ups. Corporate event not for the public to attend. irish influencers pretending they like lankum come May

Loads of resale tickets available for Heilung tonight in 3 Arena. If I show up, what are my chances getting one from a punter for €20?

Why are asking such a rhetorical question. Not to be mean but no one here can offer any reasonable answer. Someone could offer you a free ticket or could be no one trying to offload a ticket outside or they could want closer to what they paid.
You'd generally be able to gauge it by quantity of tickets available on Adverts.ie or Toutless. There's nothing on Toutless and nothing available on Adverts either. So it would be unlikely that you rock up at say 7.30 and expect a cheap ticket at that time. The only way you'd get that cheap a ticket would be last minute where the gig is about to start and the seller/tout feels that they will take anything to get some reimbursement for the ticket. Or if someone needs to make an immediate sale earlier in the evening cause their friends were heading into 3Arena, and the seller with the spare ticket was heading in too.
You lot are pros, well some of you anyways. You know more than me. Listened to them for the first time this morning, interesting sound, €60 is way over my budget for a standard gig.
For a 3Arena gig, that's the general standard these days.

Yea that's decent for 3Arena, i paid €90 for Limp Bizkit and I've seen bands in the Olympia charging more than €60
Personally I'd check resales after 5pm, people might relist them at a lower price if they are still unsold. The 3arena is a bit of a hike from most places to chance it.
CMAT sold out her 3Arena December gig already. That's good going. There's a decent amount of artists now who can sell it out.
Can't wait to see her at ATN

All the orchestral shows were. I had tickets to the beatles one next week, just cancelled too and a friend was going to the hip hop one and said that's cancelled
Beatles one was using same orchestra so not shocked that when one was cancelled, both were.
Those orchestra shows are expensive to put on obviously. If sales are bad only one option
Saw her on Jools Holland …. came across as the type of head melt you'd meet at a party and quickly avoid.

That's exactly it, couldn't quite put my finger on it. I like her music though.
She's a lot, no doubt. But there's no doubting her songwriting chops or her charisma on stage. She's a phenomenon. More power to her elbow.
Yeah, great music but you'd be dreading her "banter" in between songs at a gig. One of those "oh just please shut up and play the music".
Felt like that about the Mary Whallopers last year, so much yapping.
Still regret not seeing her at EP 2022, particularly cos there was sod all else on that afternoon. Some brilliant songwriting and she comes across as likeable when interviewed, particularly at Glasto 2/3 years ago. Maybe she's gotten more annoying recently but all the best to her, a fine artist.
CMAT in a packed Electric Arena at last year's Picnic was just outstanding, one of my all-time EP highlights. She was really good at ATN a few years ago on the main stage that sunny afternoon, and again earlier this year when I saw her at one of the gigs on the "Europe or bust" mini-tour. Can't say I noticed too much annoying banter at any of those. There's always been interaction with the audience and band members, but nothing to complain about really.
We as a nation are always harder on homegrown acts. CMAT is a fine artist.
Lasted a song and a half at CMAT at ATN a few years back. Decided i wasn't going to let her ruin my nice sunny afternoon and i politely effed off to more satisfying climes. Wasn't into the music nor the lecture. Not for me, but hey-ho…
Saw her in 22 thought she was great. Watched Karma Police inc24 instead of her and while they were brilliant regret not going to see CMAT based on feedback since. Normally not my type of music but she is class
