A thread to keep each other up to date about where we all are in the process
Theres usually over 1000 get to managed stages with a merit number. Out of them 40% + won't make it to end, either fail or withdraw. Out of the remaining merit number is only relevant once you clear. People with lower merit numbers can start long before if their vetting clears and yours is ongoing. If you clear at the same time, you will be given preference in order to keep things fair
Once all the stages are passed calls go out in merit order you could be No.10 on the list a d waiting on vetting to clear and someone in the high hundreds who has all stages cleared would get the call. Vetting is the real determining factor as seen in this campaign
yeah exactly, vetting is the killer
Goes to show - I’m 380s merit list on the June course with people ML 700+
anyone had a call today?
I had a call today for end of June. anyone deferring?
had my call today too 🥳
congratulations 🎉
I heard nothing today, thats 9 months in a row now 🤣🤣🤣
Does an examination of an individual’s social media presence/history play a part in the vetting process?
Yes
get deleting them posts 😂😂
Yes part of the vetting form asks for social media profiles and any alias accounts
Congratulations 👏
Got my call last week again also after deferring for a year 😎
congratulations 🥳🥳
thank you 🙏🏼
congrats to you all who passed and got calls. What way does deferring work? Is it only under certain circumstances?
yes you have to have a good reason. They also only give you 24hours to put in a deferral request once you get the call, doesn’t give you much time to try and work round things to make the date they’ve given you😅
Mine still hasn’t been accepted. 😫
it’s understandable.. when has yours been in from?
does anyone know when you find out what area you are in after training?
I think you find out your district on induction day but then you don’t get your station until near the end of training. Think I remember reading that somewhere on here
You find out on your induction day. You make your preference in the paperwork you receive post call and then are told where you’ll be working at your induction. If your district has more than 1 station, on around week 14/15 you’ll make your station preference.
Tbf they accepted mine there and then at the time and told me to put it in writing, which I did straight after the call and had an email back that day confirming it.
you must of got a line manager on the phone 🤣 girl I was speaking to said a manager has to confirm it😅
yeah it was the acting manager as the person over recruitment was off.
Many in here still waiting on vetting clearance?
👋 Hanging on in the just about 😂😂
yes still waiting, vetting submitted 1 year ago last week 😩
that’s crazy!! Have they given any indication that’s it’s almost done or anything?
Ha. I’m a veritable monk when it comes to social media, so no worries here thankfully.
