My old model 3 and Y will stay in sport mode once selected and saved to that profile.
eNiro defaults to normal mode each and every time. I have to engage sport and auto hold each journey 😡
I like the all black roof rather than the silver stripe with the black mirror caps, especially against the red colour. I don’t like the gloss black sills or bumpers. Design is fine but the matte I will last better in the long run I feel. I also prefer the smooth rear lights of the standard versions rather than the textured ones in this. That said, I still think it looks nice but a missed opportunity to make it stand out more.
Just checked on mine and it got to the port in Germany on March 25th and still waiting there. Considering current climate, I’d take date estimates with a pinch of salt…
the ID3 behaviour is slightly different - it TELLS you it’s still in sport, in the driver profile, but the settings are actually back in Comfort - see the screenshot I put above from the ID3 manual
Yeah get that from reading the lists alright, but the Tesla actually stays in Sport mode.
It's just the lack of the air intakes i don't like. Everything else looks better to me.
When did you order yours?
Jan 23rd
I don’t think you are interpreting that right. The driver profile (basically your name) stays in place across ignition starts but the drive “mode” doesn’t. It goes back to comfort and it shows that as comfort.
My ID.3 is showing as due (well, overdue) for a service so I want to get it done. Any idea what I could expect to pay? Any experience with Frank Keane Liffey Valley?
actually looking at getting one on PCP for three years and pay the final payment with maybe 6k cash and a 10k loan over three years then.
anyone see any issues? Im looking at the ID3 or Corolla.
How old is your car? If it's outside of warranty would consider going with an independent garage?
Some the better ones will happily service your car for a bit less than the main dealer.
It's a 212 reg so is out of warranty. I could go to the indy dealer I bought it from either. Both close enough to me.
The more you pay upfront, the more you'll pay in interest over the 3 years. Also, I'd plan to have no equity at the end of the 3 years, so have a plan in place for 3 years' time.
As for the cars themselves, they're a great bit of stuff.
what’s the typical battery length? I mean after how many years do they need replacing. Ah yea at end of three year I think it’s 16k so probably pay 8k cash and get a loan of 8k, that’s the plan.
The chances you'll ever need to replace a battery are tiny.
Will you ask the Toyota dealer when will you need to replace the engine if you buy a Corolla?
I thought they only last 7 or 8 years
surely the more you pay up front, the less interest you pay over the term as you owe less or am I missing something?
No, they're guaranteed for eight years. There's no actual limit to how long they last. Estimates are 20 years plus with modern battery technology. There will be some degradation though.
I was thinking the same but afraid to ask!
The silvered interior door handle and external door handle really let this car down. They just do not feel substantial for a car which has otherwise dramatically improved perceived quality since the facelift.
I have a Renault Zoe from 2013, owned for the last 2 years, still has the original battery. Its very early technology, but still going strong. Thats despite an old battery chemistry, and only an air cooled battery. There has been degradation as you'd expect for that ttime, but it will continue to run for many years. Any issues and a battery cell can be swapped, rather than the full pack.
A modern generation EV like the ID3 will be much superior.
im going for it 12k up front, 270 for three years. I’ll probably pay 8k cash and 8k loan for final payment.
thanks for the help folks you have made up my mind.
Is the volkswagen app down?
New T&Cs landed today. I was auto logged out and needed to sign back in again. If you are still logged in, try logging out and back in again
Was watching a video and noticed on one side the wheels looked like they are the wrong way around. Just checked the website and it's the same. I've now realised that the rotor is in one direction so the passenger side is always the wrong way around. Would like to unsee this, haha.
Yeah. No idea why I wrote what I did.
The more you pay up front, the LESS you pay in interest.
Can't even edit the original post now. What a dope.
Charge door actuator failed second time in a year. 😒 At least this time it's stuck open. Timing couldn't be worse also...
In 2020 models is there any difference that you can see physically on the car to differentiate 150kW vs 107kW motor versions. Also what app can you use with an OBD reader to read battery SOH on ID3
Not sure if it helps but if you throw the reg onto Cartell it will show you the power.
