Hi All,
Delete if not allowed; I just booked parking via Ryanair ( 2 weeks July) for €75 versus €160 direct with DAA. Just in case anyone else is sorting their summer holidays and flying with Ryanair.
Which car park is the parking in?
I picked red, but all are available at different prices.
Red is more expensive than blue due to closer location and more frequent buses.
For me the blue is always cheap... 7 or 8 quid per day. Quickpark also around that rate
I booked a week in Blue with DAA yesterday for €39, coming up as the same price for me with Ryanair.
Quickpark is closed now afaik.
Yes went to book the other day and found this out. Wonder will it open again soon? Always found it very handy.
Doesn't seem to be any difference for Red Car Park at end of June, Ryanair and DAA are same price.
There was a dispute between the company leasing and the owner. I'd say it will be back when flying numbers properly return.
Unlikely. They had a court case with the landlord over unpaid rent and I think they have handed back the land.

Is Quickpark permanently closed or will it open when the airport gets busier?
I’d say that it’s closed for good. Looks very derelict now. It was badly flooded a few years back.
Actually works out €1 extra for me in Blue carpark to book with Ryanair this weekend (3 nights)
It's now much cheaper to get a taxi for four if living in Dublin.
How does that work for car seats for kids though? Most or all taxis wouldn't have them I assume?
They don't have to offer them and it's not against the law for kids to travel in a taxi without them as far as I know.
Yep, have used this place before a few times, have them booked for this week too.
Handy with fixed fares so no hidden surprises.
A few taxi firms do fixed fares, pays to ask. Substantially less than the meter in my experience.
On the car seats for kids, its not required/compulsory in a taxi. Only a private vehicle.
Another option I have recently come across is https://www.looking4.com/ie/airport-parking/dublin-dub which appears to offer parking in nearby hotels.
Just be careful as not all 'airport' hotels are as close as they seem so you are relying on shuttle buses that may not be that frequent (and the airport isn't within walking distance).
What about using free now taxi app. Is it reliable for early morning pick ups, never used it before.
Mostly, think I've had one cancel out of maybe 20 bookings but got one within 5 minutes so it wasn't a big problem. Currently trying to decide whether to drive or taxi for a weekend away. Drive is half the price but still 25% more than it would have been pre-covid (long term red express, short term is double what it used to be). It also means an earlier start and a sober departure day. The downside of solo travel and a very early departure.
The fixed fare means you know what you are paying when you start the journey instead of going off the meter.
Need to book for 2 weeks in June and Ryanair and DAA are both the same, actually Ryanair 1 euro more expensive at 93 euro
Knowing RyanAir, somewhere near Kilkenny...
DAA don't seem to do any promo codes now.quickpark was good for competition.
I would normally use the Aircoach, but last bus is 0:25 until 3:55 to south Dublin and my flight time is just too tight to that to risk missing it
You obviously don't know Ryanair then. 😜
Booked parking via the app there about 30 mins ago. Absolutely zero information on the app or on the confirmation email about what I'm supposed to do, where I'm supposed to go or any detail whatsoever.
Any advice on this?
Hey I booked parking via ryanair too in January. Always got blue/red car park but this time they have us out in some place called 'Park Via'.. Park & Fly Dublin Address: Bishopswood, The Ward, Dublin Ireland
Got an email with instructions.. haven't heard of this place before, and can't cancel the booking
Get onto their online chat/twitter and see if you can get an update. You should have received an email. Has the transaction gone through with your bank?
Beware if booking airport parking via Ryanair - if you have to cancel your flight you won't get refunded for the flight (which you probably knew) but you also won't get a refund for the parking. DAA direct parking bookings allow parking changes or cancellations.
