In Co Dublin over the weekend. If the sales figures are to be believed, these will be a more common sight on the roads than previous versions of the M5.
not at all like previous model though so that will still be in demand , surprised how much even a 2018 car is worth
€140 tax on that M5. Can't wait for the 'chape tax, miser on petrol' blurb on the ad when it's being sold.
🤣
abc
Excuse the awful potato picture (Passenger took it on the M50 this morning) but one of 999 Cupra Formentor VZ5s - this one also had an ABT badge so I assume had an ABT tune, also
^ the house with the Alpine, they have a Frogeye Sprite as well. Not as rare obvs but still an interesting sight.
Ilikeboats, where was the 550i as a matter of interest?
A beautiful seaside town in North Co. Dublin
M5 ??
There's always some interesting cars in that driveway 😎
What else have you seen there?
Not sure what I think of it, but a 251 reg in the wild.
i think the styling is a bit over the top for normal driving - would look great on the track
apparently there’s too many of them and they can be bought for list now, if the online folks are to be believed, they’re now getting offered them. It’s the same with Ferrari - too many special cars means they’re no longer special. Here in Ireland there will be only 1 registered, let’s face it, so Porsche Dublin probably had an allocation
I know of 4 in Irish plates.
No waiting list so
There is one on carzone at the moment. They are expensive, but not really limited. No overs, but do hold value close to RRP. Not saying they are common or anything, but if you really wanted one they can be gotten.
how much are they? For the discerning Irish buyer 😀
Dealers can’t charge overs in Ireland on new cars, but it’s great to see these type of cars start to appear.
BOSS reg too.
Should have taken pics of the actual car for sale and not put pics up of one that's in the USA or somewhere else.
Only a 2 year warranty but with roadside assistance? That hardly shouts confidence in an expensive motor!
probably due to possible track use - imagine they bulletproof otherwise
on another note heard certain supercar brands invalidate warranty on cars used for supercar hire
Joe Mallon motors, interesting the size difference between old and new cars. There isn't even an ICE in the new model but the height of the bonnet..
In all fairness safety has come a long way.
For a pedestrian getting hit and faceplanting the bonnet, their face always lost the battle in a face vs engine block battle.
it’s all to do with safety regulations, and the exciting world of the ‘bonnet leading edge reference lines’ and its vertical height from the ground etc etc - or ‘frontal horizontal surface areas’.
there’s a reason why all cars in the past decade+ have a potato-esque design and we think that they all look the same. its because manufacturers have to design a car to very specific geometrical dimensions, front, rear and sides.
The book ‘inside the machine’ by corkman and 1st gen Nissan Qashqai development manager David Twohig covers a lot of this very well.
Its a new car with delivery milage, so its in its delivery protection, no point taking a picture, pciture is from the configurator the final owner will get to take that off. Similar to this
Almost got a perfect reg plate
What’s the point of owning a GT3RS in Ireland? Driving it around Dublin City would be a nightmare and we don’t even a proper track. They don’t even have a boot.
In other news, I saw a Honda NSX street parked in a small French village today.
In Limerick earlier today
Nsx great car pity about wide wheels on that one . Can still remember 1993 seeing 91D red nsx lambe & o connor had for sale and the noise of it
